i definitely want to learn the CV change skill for obvious reasons so if anyone wants to volunteer some expertise once i get some new ones, i'll make it worth your while

I'll try to bleed the brakes this week or early next week. we're taking the gf's subaru this weekend so i will try to not think/worry about it.

I shouldn't be upset/stressed about this though, right? Shouldn't be too fucked? :anonymous: haha. trying to see how bothered i should be.

damnit. am i at a risk of damaging anything further? I'm kinda forced to hold off on fixing for a sec because i need to wait till i get this bonus from corporate for referring someone that got hired. I was going to spend that elsewhere but maintenance > mods .... :sadviolin: I know the brakes could be unsafe, especially if it is my master cylinder, so i'll get on that ASAP but im not gonna severely fuck anything up w a leaky boot for a couple weeks eh? i'll troll around down there after work and see if i can seal up the leak or at least find where it's coming from.

I'd park it for sure due to the brakes alone.
Ghetto boot fix. It held for several weeks, but I have manual hubs too so that's in my favor. Was a waste of time since I surrendered the stock shafts for Napa shafts anyway.

@tacot0wn you brakes sound similar to what mine was doing. Make sure to use the parking break that's what adjusts the drums and they might not adjusted enough. That and old fluid.

Just going to say that i got a "new" cv assembly from rock Auto delivered for under $50... No core, no handling fee.

It's for a trail spare, but it looks pretty new to me.

I would start with fluids then in my opinion. Especially if the glued is not mostly clear

might as well do both, and change the shaft seals too while you are there.

For those looking at RVs this is my brother's business. They have a mix of vehicles, RV's, etc on top of their towing where it all started.
