They're an ARE dealer, it's a used shell. I have to go to the Leonard place here and get keys. They didn't get them when they bought it.

OIC...still need to get off my ass and get the harness hooked up on mine. Would be better if I could just find the schematic to find out which wires are which.

You can still drive on the main part, but the seasonal parts are closed right now. The seasonal parts are the most fun, IMO. I think @Daria said something about having or is working on a Google map of which parts are open and when.

Just stopping by to say hey. I've been here a while just never in the local forums. Here's my evolution of Toyota truck ownership.

My 1986 bought from my uncle a few years ago for the princely sum of $1900. Of course it didn't look like this when I bought it. :) When owning this I also had a 1992 BMW that was my DD. Sold the BMW and bought a 2000 Lexus GS300 and a project Miata. The GS was totaled on a very long road trip and instead of buying another car I decided to sell this truck and buy a newer Tacoma (to use as a DD) so as to only have 2 cars. I wish I had never sold it. :(

    toyota1.jpg

My 06 Prerunner TRD Offroad I bought about 1.5 years ago. It was everything I had been looking for except for 4x4. I really couldn't pass up the deal I got though. It was a great truck. Bought with 135k miles, sold with 166k miles.

    TacomaShell.jpg

There was always that nagging thought in the back of my head that I REALLY wanted a 4x4 TRD Offroad. Not need but want. But as ya'll know prices are ridiculous around here for a Tacoma. This 2013 TRD Offroad 4x4 with only 65k miles came along and I couldn't pass up the deal even though it was almost double what I paid for the 06. But still a really good deal. It was serviced at the selling dealer every 5k miles like clockwork. It was very well maintained but the PO USED the truck. It was very dirty and had scratches all over from running through the woods deer hunting. Even has a big dent on the other side of the bed. That really doesn't bother me. So I had it professionally detail, installed new 265/65/16 KO2s and a lift kit. This is a pic after the lift kit.

Cool. As long as the main is open and I can make my way down to the lake, it'll be all gravy!

I have not made it down to Jumping Off Rock or the water yet. :anonymous: Always gotten side-tracked by the other roads. But maybe now that they're closed I'll get down there.

Let me know when you want to go. It's just a hope and skip for me. Plus, if you stay on task, you get them fairly quickly.

The GA side of earles ford is a good place to ride. Along with Burrells ford and bullpen rd. My parents live in mountain rest and I grew up there. I don't live far away..

    Heads Up APB

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office, S.C. says it is investigating reports of a possible sighting of two dangerous escaped inmates on Thursday.

According to Jasper County Sheriff Chris Malphus, two men matching the descriptions of two escapees wanted in the death of two corrections officers' were spotted in Switzerland, S.C. at a rest area near Interstate 95 mile marker 17 around lunch time.

A truck driver said that he saw two men wearing black shirts and camouflage pants who looked like they might be trying to steal vehicles. He said one of the men did have tattoos on his face. The men reportedly ran into the woods.

Authorities responded to the scene, but Malphus said that his crews had not yet been able to confirm the sighting.

Malphus said that in addition to the truck driver, a work crew also saw two men.

"We are asking citizens in this area to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity," the sheriff's office said. "They are believed to be armed and dangerous and if sighted should not be approached. The report states that they were both wearing camouflage pants and black shirts. Multiple agencies are in the area in an attempt to confirm or dispel the sighting."

Howard Sills said Thursday that the reward for information on the fugitives has been increased to $130,000.

“This is the greatest effort, I’ve ever seen,” Sills said. “Our focus right now is to apprehend these two dangerous criminals.”

If you see the truck or them, they are considered "armed and dangerous,” and you should call, 911 or 877-WANTED2 (926-8332).

Thanks! Although I really prefer the rear bench seat in the 06. Makes a great shelf when folded over to give the dog a place to sit.

I was speaking of the bench seating in my 06 access cab. When folded over it makes a nice flat shelf.
