Not going to speak for Bruce, but I need a a pretty high end computer set up for running CAD. Simple line work can be done on any type of computer, but when you are working with anything 3d or rendering surfaces, it become a very intensive process.

Younger crowd on here now a days. 1991 here.

As far as the whole coffee thing I like black iced. I love adding some toasted coconut rum to it for flavor :bananadance:. A coffee shop near me makes these chocolate covered espresso beans once and awhile that are awesome to snack on.

I ran 3D CAD for DOS on a 486DX. It was slow, but it ran. That was 20 years ago though. I don't remember the name of the CAD program. I'm sure the program was much more simplistic than what's out there now.

For basic stuff it's not bad. I'm doing a lot of modal analysis and flipping between creo and nastran/patron lately and it just can't run both at the same time. What really sucks is everytime I need to switch to a different program I need to re-login and hope that there's a floating license available... I think I spend more time doing that since the idiot engineers I work with will leave their computers with the licenses active on their systems.

Hm... So I ran out of fusepanel space up front with the eaton Bussmann (5 relay 5 fused)... I still have yet to use the relay spots since those would be for the future larger drawing accessories.. Guess its time to upgrade to a larger bussmann...

Also - has anyone ever cut a hole in the firewall to accommodate for a custom pass through of wires. I keep snaking them through the pre-existing grommets and I feel like I'm starting to max them out...

    You're older than me...

I was just thinking about this conversation this morning as I put on my jean jacket. It's from the mid 90's, given to me as an award when I worked for VDO automotive.

I'm getting old. Now you damn kids, get off the lawn and stop putting the garden nomes in those positions!

    Morning, faces!

Finally got the correct carburetor rebuild kits for the boat delivered yesterday, so I rebuilt those, set the floats, and popped them back on the boat. She fired up first spin and purrs like a kitten now. Amazing what having a 'sink' instead of a 'float' in one of the carburetors will do to an idle.
I do feel kind of bad for the PO, though. He thought that the bottom two cylinders cutting out at an idle was electrical, but it was because they were drowning in fuel anytime you weren't running the motor wide open. $30 later and I've got her idling beautifully :bananadance:

That is a gorgeous old Bronco.

Do me a favor and put that picture here:
