Was talking about AC when it gets real hot in the summer for camping. One of those DIY rigs had a solar panel attached to it.

Surgery went well. I stopped by the animal hospital on my way home to see him. I'll pick him up tomorrow. He was dosed up on some meds and I didn't want to transport him anyway. Took him a minute to come too and realize I was there. Tail waggin and wimpering when he figured it out. I calmed him down and left. I didn't want him to get too excited.


Those cones always crack me up.

 

You still can. I don't mind. I can even make a list of shit I want but don't really need!

But TW doesn't like those things.

This boy is strong. I don't think it will take long for him to recover. The harder part I believe will be holding him back during the rehab (trying to slow him down) so he doesn't strain himself. He does like to swim, and the Dr. said that was the best rehab. Gives me another excuse to go to the lake.

 

I will say I have a different views on dogs and trucks now. All my previous ones rode in the bed. So did he, until this happened. I learned a lesson, the hard way.

 

Any excuse to get to the water is a good excuse.

I used to have my dogs in the bed for many years, too. Not long ago my new pointer pup damn near hung himself on a random loose piece of rope on a routine trip to the park one day. Since then they are in the cab or in a ratchet strapped in crate, top and bottom.

 

They caught both of them escaped inmates...alive.

 

I would always take the leashes off if they were in the bed, just in case. This could have been a lot messier and worse had I not done that.

 

Was contemplating a TW manhunt... $130,000 is a lot of truck mods.

 

Same here. The pointer mouths everything, people especially. The only thing I can figure is he was wrestling with the rope and got it around his neck. It was pretty scary. I had the truck stopped, knife out, and rope cut in a pretty darn big hurry.

 

The way we track down peop who screw over others in the BST section, it probably wouldn't have taken long.
