If we don't want to camp on the trail and want to get backcountry passes for the gorge (theyre like 10 or 12 bucks), I have a spot in the park that should be big enough for all of us. It's about 300 yards from the closest parking spot. I've left my tent and general equipment there and gone hiking before and never had anyone mess with any of it.

We can expect the majority of us there to meet at the gas station in Stanton on Friday morning before 11, correct?
The rest will come in Friday evening and 1 or 2 on Saturday?

I will be at the gas station by 10-10:30 most likely. Looks like the lady probably isn't coming, doesn't wanna shit in the woods I guess. So I'll have a seat open for riders.

If we set up tents on/near the trails on the map you linked, we are IN the park. Daniel Boone Forest, it's green on the map.
I wondered about bringing my EZ-up too

We're meeting in the gravel lot next to the Chevron off the Slade exit off Bert T Combs. Get off the exit, turn left, you'll see the lot on your left.

The address is Stanton because the post office is retarded. That's the Slade exit. Put the coordinates into google maps if you don't believe me

As for other questions, yes, we're in DBNF, but the actual Red River Gorge Geological area is what you need the backcountry pass for, otherwise they'll tow your vehicles if they are on park roads overnight. It's possible that due to some technicality we may need a pass to park the trucks overnight on some of the roads we'll be on on the backcountry byway, but honestly, if someone brings a cruiser through 5 water crossings to give me a ticket where our planned camp is, I'll pay the thing and shake their hand.

I don't know what time I'll/we'll be there. I assume I'll convoy with Matt and Dan at least, potentially more of the Cinci area crew, and we'll be playing the 'dodge Brent Spence Bridge traffic' game. I assume we'll sort out what time we leave either here to annoy you all, or in the Cinci thread.

Yah, I'm planning on buying a permit just in case. Cheap.

Also, park rangers drive trucks, not cruisers, in Kentucky. Used to be Broncos, now it's either F150s, Rams, or Silverados

They weren't gently used in Grayson Lake, where I frequented as a kid with my dad!

Fuckers would drive just as far as you do to get to a fishing spot, then sneak up on you through the woods!
Done it to me several times while I'm hunting as well, they never wear orange!
