    At the "new" house:

    Majority of boxes are unpacked.

    Fridge is fixed (warranty)

Both garage door springs are fixed (warranty, but WTF, one broke, then another on a different door broke like 3 days later. I COULD NOT UNLOAD MY TRUCK FOR DAYS)

One of the air conditioners is fixed (the other one is OK) (warranty)

    Laundry supply valves are replaced.

Electric car charge outlet for auntie's car is installed.

Replaced one zone of badly leaking drip irrigation.

Replaced a broken sprinkler that was depressurizing 2 lawns worth of irrigation.

Just heavily pruned a bunch of shrubs so another zone is actually effective....and found another big underground leak I need to repair near one of those heads. But apparently there is a gopher who really likes that lawn. I think my cat already killed one.

Still need to repair another major severed drip trunk line that will kill off a bunch of stuff if not attended to like...tonight (headed for 105+ for a few days here)

Need to replace the kitchen sink faucet before I go into a homicidal rage. I hope that is next weekend.

The fucking dryer box vent job is supposed to be done, but they:
    1. Put a foot through a bedroom ceiling.
    2. Broke a recessed light fixture from above.
    3. Used an incorrect flimsy foil dryer hose
    4. Did not install the box correctly against the bottom sill plate, which defeats a big function of the whole fucking thing (not squashing the vent hose
    5. Lowering it means they will need to bring a new vertical pipe that is longer to still work correctly.
    6. This will push out when I can get the drywall guys to cover it all up from the garage side again, at which point I will be able to put cabinets back against the wall (currently on dollies so I can keep pushing them out of my way constantly) and finally get the rest of my shelving and cabinets sorted out and unfuck the next 50% of the garage.

Fortunately, the contractor has nothing more than my initial deposit in pocket, so I have leverage. But I have been trying to get this one job done for about 3 goddamn months, since before we moved in. I will have moved/connected/disconnected the dryer and washer about 6 fucking times when this is cover.

    Positive shit:

FIL is closing on his house nearby, and they will be a huuuuuuge help in many ways. He's a real handy dude, too. They are showing up Sunday night.

Just sent in a counteroffer on our old house and are waiting for them to accept it. It's asking price, so that's good, we're told they'll accept it. I want to get that shit over with.

And my dad and his GF are coming up to stay this weekend and see Bennett. We're going to hit up a very good looking English pub in Folsom for dinner with them. So it should be a nice fathers day.
