After being done with the Army for 2 1/2 months here are some words of advice for civilians that never served:

    1. If you so happen to find out that I am retired from the Army, do not look at me like I'm collecting welfare and do not under any circumstances say something like, "I guess you'll be sucking on Uncle Sam's tit from now on". This is a sure fire way to get a great big FUCK YOU from me and not so subtle threats of physical violence. You have no idea what I went through to get to this point so don't even try to be cute about it.

    2. If you made the decision not to serve your country then that if fine with me. I could care less one way or the other. But don't try to justify it to yourself by making up bullshit stories. Telling me that you tried to go in but they wouldn't take you because you were the only son is bullshit. I don't have retard written across my forehead so don't try to play me for one.

When i moved back home a couple of months ago, I found that the same ole people doing the same ole thing we did in highschool.... and that amounts to a whole lot of nothing:D

Congratulations cakmakli! Well earned and deserved! Welcome to the ranks of the bullshit of coping with a second career, where the concepts of honor, discipline, leadership, and professional and managerial courage is hard to find and terribly misunderstood.

    3. Don't ever assume we all joined the military to get money for college. Maybe some of us actually joined purposely during a time of war to contribute to the defense of our nation.

    4. Don't ever fucking ask me why am I willing to sacrifice my life for my country.

    5. Don't fucking tailgate or cut me off when my vehicle is clearly marked with service stickers. Give respect by backing the fuck off.

    6. Don't give me the "OMG another sucker for his country" stare when you find out I'm military.

    7. If you're part-time-gangsta and wannabe, get the fuck outta my way. Who's the real tough one?

One more thing, AMERICA... FUCK YEAH!

For what it's worth. You have earned my respect and gratitude.

1 Feb will be a little over 33 years (active duty) and I will show you on the retired rolls.....

For the civilians who read this...."THANK YOU" those of us in the military could never have done it without your support in both taxes and morale. Some people think you got to pay taxes to support us but I can tell you from my view...a slap on the back or a hand shake with a heartfelt "thank you" charges my batteries up and make me realize it was worth the sacrifice.... AMERICA IS THE TOPS!!!

First I want to say thank you for your service. Whatever you get from uncle sam is well deserved and earned and isnt nearly enough for what you sacrafice. I be honest when the recruiters came calling I didnt have the balls to do it so what ever that makes me or whatever you want to call me Im fine with that. But everytime I see someone that is in the military in uniform or not I always thank them for there sacrifices and the preservation of America and our way of life. Again thank you your sacrifices and the freedom you proudly protect are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
