    haha, funny u were too!

    that's a great idea assuming it's a long enough 2nd wire(should be).

i've got it all sitting in the garage just need time.
whoever finishes first should message the other or at least tag one another showing how it was done.
    promise i will lol.

I will have everything done by the time my rack comes in. Got my shipping notification on the 7th but with Prinsu you know how that goes... could be tomorrow or could be a few weeks.

But sounds good, the second I have the rack I'm going to jump on it. So I will definitely let you know when I complete it.

Didn't purchase a harness from TRS (thought I would find one a little more custom to the length I would need) and still trying to decide on switches and a switch panel. Im thinking OTRATTW switches and maybe an iggy switch panel, but im still undecided.

Might keep it simple and go with the ch4x4 switches aswell. So many decisions...

    Prinsu Rack Shipped:
Good news today! Recently checked the tracking number provided for my Prinsu Design Racks and it looks like my Cab Rack and Top Rack will be at my doorstep when I arrive home today. For those wondering I put in my order 5/2 and looks like I will be receiving it today 6/15. When I purchased it I was told the lead time would be 4 weeks, actual time came out to be 6 weeks. Not too bad, feel like I was one of the lucky ones to receive it so quickly.

Will be posting updates soon and install entry as soon as I get it done.

nice! didn't think about that but i got mine for black friday and i think the harness was included..not 100% but pretty sure it was.

also thanks for the info on the otrattw switches and iggy panel, haven't seen either of those.

think i'm gonna do a basic 3 switch panel from shapeways with the ch4x4 just for now.

later when i get more electronics and need for multiple cool buttons like spot lights, bumper, rear spots, compressor, fr locker ect....
then i'm gonna use the Switch-Pro 8 switch panel.

believe it or not @shawn_free actually gave me the panel for free along with a few other things!!! super nice guy, really friendly. (has a sick tacoma)
i just gotta buy the power module and harnes

You got a switch pro for free? That would be my ideal set up but can't justify the $$.

In other news I got my prinsu cab rack today, so I should be figuring out the light bar wiring situation in the next few days!

I just need to get the harness and switch and I'll be good to go.

lol yeah, i went over to shawns house to buy his level 8 bully pro wheels that had roughly 1000 miles on them and he gave me a warn duffle bag full of stuff.

2 d-rings, a snatch block, recovery strap, air hose parts, air hose line, and to top it all off what was in the pic above (the face of the switch pro with wires, all the stickers, and the arb air locker harness)

basically over half the price of the kit free, cuz i also wouldn't have got it otherwise due the $$$.

congrats on the sweet mail delivery man lol ur almost there now.
ill keep in touch with ur rack an light setup for sure!
    and vise versa

@SixthSnail For your Xtorch bar did you buy your wiring harness from TheRetroFitSource as well or do you buy after market?

Completely spaced that I would need one and now I have a trip a week from today without a harness. Checking on Amazon but wanted to see if you had bought yours third party.

I made my own. Really easy. Just cut the wires and get a relay. Cheap too

Did you have any electrical experience before hand? I have no previous experience with electrical work, would love to learn but haven't found the resources to gain that knowledge yet. Pretty easy process?

Haha I've made a couple harnesses. Scary at first but super easy still.

Basically, hot wire from battery or fuse panel to switch, I always use the fuse block near your feet inside the cab. Order an add a fuse circuit on Amazon. Super cheap.

Then hot wire from battery to relay. Relay to switch, relay to light, relay to ground.

Then just ground wire from light to a ground.

I think @GHOST SHIP @Crom @Iggy might have write ups or know where to find one.

I think I'll just go for it and try to rig one up. Any specific wire that is necessary? Im assuming you get wire that is coated or wrapped with a rubber seal. And with the relay is there a specific amp that I am looking for?

Hoping some of those guys chip in as well, the more information the better

Funny you asked.... You were the first person that came to mind when I was trying to figure out my electrical setup. Sent you a PM but I'm sure you have quite a few to sift through. :boink:
