Hi everyone I've been reading post on this website for quite a while now but haven't posted anything myself up until now. I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma TRD extended cab V6 with Factory 16x7 4.5 in backspace with 15mm offset. I think that that is correct. I was looking at some American Racing wheels ar23 that are 16 by 8 has a 4.5 backspace but 0 offset. Will this wheel fit my truck or will I have caliper clearance issues. I do not want to use spacers and I do not want to go up to a larger wheel diameter.

I have Method race wheels that are 16x8 w/ 4.5" of BS with 0 offset and they clear my 231mm Tundra calipers on my Tacoma. So I'm sure you'll be fine with your stock Tacoma calipers.

I looked at tire rack for the method wheel. Those are really nice.

I'm getting the KO2's also but sticking to the stock size 265 70 16. I'm not doing any off-roading just looking for the looks

Now I'm thinking of going with these. Just the good old baja this one from American mag 16x 8,4.5 backspace 0 offset. I hope they clear the caliper

My truck has no lift to it. With the stock setup and a 16 by 8 inch wheel I'm afraid the 265 75 will rub

I have the tire calculator chart that I found on this forum. It's only about one inch taller

i run american racing steel wheels. with the 16x8. i have zero issues. the 15x8 is where you run into problems with brake clearance. i wanted a more flush looks so i ran spacers. Im not really a fan of the giant truck style center caps so i just left them off.

Order, dry fit, and report back. You can always return them if they fail to fit.

Pro Comp 87 series Rock Crawler 16x8 w/ 3.75" bs.

Oh, and Pro Comp 51 series 16x8 don't clear the calipers :anonymous: Using the above method was extremely helpful.

My wheels came in but when I opened one of the boxes I had a center cap missing. I just got the center cap today so now I'm ready to go and purchase my tires. iDrive fitted the wheels and they fit perfectly. The eight inches as opposed to the seven inches naturally kicks the wheel out one inch. Now to the tires I'm getting the BFG ko2 I have 265 7016 s now as you folks all know came with the truck. I read all kind things about going to 265 75 16. Since the wheel has the same backspacing as the stock wheel what I have rubbing issues going to a 265 75 16? Here's a couple of pictures I found on this site. The other question I have is since I'm not going to be doing any off-roading or rock climbing should I keep the white lettering out or in?

I run 265/75/16s with the F5s pictured above. I had to remove my front mud flaps and do some trimming of the plastic to avoid rubbing, but very minor work. Larger tires + heavier tires (K02s, e-rated especially), expect some drop in MPG

f5's are sweet! And I think you're running 265 70 16 if I'm not mistaken. I ordered my tires from Discount Tire I will take pictures before and after I'm going with the 265 70 16 keeping the BF Goodrich white logo out. Old school stock truck.

I'm running 265/75/16, slightly taller tire.

I did the tire calculator thing and Sawthe differences. I'll take pictures and post them as soon as everything's all done. I appreciate all the input that fellow Forum members have provided for me. Thanks
