If there is a thread for this just link it. But I did my research and couldn't find it. Specifically looking for 17" rim and tires on a 3" lift

my off-road tires I run 285s and 17s. I'm currently buying the runner sema trd wheels 17"s and a new set of tires

    Thinking of running
    1. Cooper stt pro 305/65/17
    2. nitto trail graps 285/70/17
    3. Kantai trail hog 305/70/17

Post a pic and tire size and or suggestions

285's are widely known to require modification to fit them, even with a lift. I think 305's would be a really tough task, and require some severe fender modification.

Yeah I know most run 285s and I'm running them now and only rub at full lock reversing. And I haven't even did the cmc yet

Yeah I seen that one. But most were just saying you'll rub at 285s and I know that isn't the case here. Cause I have 285s and 17s right now and only rub when sharp reversing

I just took off my 20s and 33s today and I rubbed on super tight turns or reversing I rubbed quite a bit. Rubbing on the cab mount

i run a 275/70/r17 and my upper control arm was right against the tire even with the lift so i added a 1.5 inch wheel spacer solved that problem until i get my rims in july then had to trim the big bulky plastic piece at the bottom front of the fender lining and boom not a problem since

I think that top red one is a LT setup and his build was very extensive haha 37s is to big for me I have a jeep with that right now. Maybe I should go 35s haha

I think the red one is @jberry813 and those are 35s not 37s.

Here is me with 3 inches of suspension lift, one in body lift, 35-12.5-17 Mt/r's, and a ton of trimming to fit them. As a side note, I had 32s, then 33s, and finally 35s. Deciding what you want on the first go around is well worth it. If you want 305s, buy them and make it happen! IMG_20170610_154038144.jpg

Did you have to add spacers? Cause I know the wheels I'm getting (trd sema 4runner) they have zero offset. I don't know if your stock wheels have zero offset?
Also I have 285s on now. With no rubbing and haven't did the cmc. But if I can fit 33x12.5. Ima make it happen haha

Great question. I should have added that. Yes, I have 2 inch wheel spacers on the front, and 1.25 on the rear. That actually makes them look about even (since the lift forces the tires inward on the front, and not at all in the rear - CV vs Straight axel).

A lot of folks on here really frown on wheel spacers, but I have had no problems (I did install them myself and properly of course). Without the spacers, I was rubbing on the UCA badly at full lock. I'm running JBA UCAs, which have more coilover clearence, but seem to stick out a little further towards the wheel. That said, I think I would have rubbed with stock UCAs also. 12.5 is a wide tire no matter which way you slice it.
