So a month ago my boyfriend and I got a sweet deal on a 98 Tacoma. We've been jokingly calling it the "murder Tacoma", because we found what appears to be some blood clots/drops on the center console. Well, the drivers seat is torn to shit. A huge rip in it. The passengers seat has a cover on it to cover what we have for a month just assumed to be a bigger rip. Today we got some 4Runner seats to replace the old ones and I... finally removed the cover. This seat has a *puddle of blood* in it. Moral of the story... if you're looking for a hot deal on a taco try to find one someone suffered a violent death in.

This is unsettling. If someone actually killed themselves/was murdered in it.

Impossible to know. The guy we got it from got it from a government auction. He neglected to tell us about the blood puddle. I'm no forensic scientist, but that's a massive blood stain. This isn't from a bloody nose or period accident.

If it was from an auction then someone definitely died in that truck. Well like 90% chance anyways.

I would just swap the carpet and seats. I don't know man, maybe hang a Rosary on the mirror too, to keep the demons away.

I hope you wore PPE. I got really sick after replacing the carpet in a Q45 that a cat died in. That was an interesting work order

Oddly, it doesn't smell at all. There are several dated pieces of paper work in the truck that make me think that the last time it was in regular use was 2013, so it sad for a *long* time. I checked under the seat just now and there is a puddle under that too, so whatever it is leaked right through. I do believe it to be blood though because it has clots in it.

Gonna put in the 4Runner seats tomorrow morning probably.

Thinking of selling these. Anyone interested? No rips in the passenger seat. A crime scene clean up crew could make it look good as new. :p

Don't think whatever happened involved a head wound. The head rest is clean. No holes as far as I've noticed.

The head rest could be fine, clean exit through window to window lunched over, it was sold in a GOVERNMENT auction that's strange, but that looks like a splatter shot 100%

OH MY GOD. Shit, yeah the back window was busted out when we got it. I wonder if someone offed themselves in there. Behold the cardboard box. Yup. I think it's solved. Good thing shit like this doesn't bother me.
