I think about it every day. My in-laws live in Discovery Bay and are a huge part of my kids' life. I couldn't take that away from the kids or their grandparents. If I did move there...
    • Wheeling every day.
    • Mountain biking every day.
    • The ranch would be profitable. It's currently in the black, but not by much. It's not really a revenue- generating enterprise for the family.
    • Scuba diving (corral reefs) 30 minutes away.
    • My dad lives 2 hours from there (the ranch is my mom's side of the family).
    • I would live in the forest.
    • There's a waterfall jump (25 - 30 ft) and the water is about 85 degrees. I would do that often.
    • I would not make much money, but wouldn't need to. Everything we need is there.
    • The house is pretty pimp.
    • I'd have a pet monkey named Coco.
Very tempting. But this is the life for me.

Nice! I've been to the Philippines 8 times but have only been to Mindanao twice. Best part of the trip. I hope to take the kids there this fall or next spring.

    What city were you in?

Edit: You said "all over Mindanao".

Might be good for a little while.

Like take a few years for the family to be immersed in a different climate/culture then move back for school and such.

Sounds like a good opportunity but I'm sure you've considered all that.

Pretty sweet place by the pics you've posted.

Last one at the office. This is has occurred too often. Really thinking about the Philippines now.

We've considered it. It's not hard to get a job in my industry if we came back. Plus, I would definitely ship my truck over there. So there's that I guess. This landscaping gig is pretty cool too though...

I actually like the cold more than humid tropical paradise weather. That's what I keep telling myself.

Triton in Australia. Canter in the Philippines.
