Well hello neighbor! Yeah I'm currently visiting friends and family in McKinney before I head back up to Colorado for school. I've been researching Tacoma's for a while and saw this one at a local dealership and decided to pull the trigger. Beyond excited to take it up to the mountains to see what it can really do!

Where did you purchase color matched bumper caps?

I went to the parts section of my dealership. Had them order plain bumper caps that were later painted by the collision repair shop.

Put on the front 6112s. Waiting for the rear 5125s and AAL from my buddy who's going Dakars. About .5" of bro lean which we can deal with for a week or two.

Are you going to mess with new upper control arms or diff drop kit or anything? I've read in other threads that once you lift the front you gotta start thinking about that stuff and was wondering what your plan was. Also, does the 5th notch give you full 2" of lift?

Diff drop isnt needed unless you go like 6" lift. I will do UCAs when I go Kings down the line. These are a hold-over lift I got on a trade. 5th notch on mine is right at 2.5" lift. It will probably settle another .25" in a few days I bet.

Haha yep, I noticed the red part was a little closer to the cab. Lift looks good but something about that forward lean on your truck made it aggressive.

How does the ride on the new shocks feel so far compared to stock?

A little more stiff on road (in a good way), a lot less body roll, and took it off on a grassy area with a few dirt bumps and feels a lot more dampened correctly and soaks it up a lot more. The stock rear shocks right now feel pretty bad with how much better the front feels now haha

My next mods will be either an SSO slimline bumper upfront and a steel in the rear or the sliders. I'm thinking about putting a set of pods facing rearward or a fucking train horn in my damn bed to blast at these assholes that text and drive while you're stopped in traffic and they aren't even paying attention.
