If that commute isn't going to change and you are likely going to keep that job for a long time a 10 year old civic or corolla for commuting would pay itself off real quick.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
That's a nice area. I have spent time for work around there and out around Cape Alava on backpacking trips with the family.

So my commute in the east san francisco bay area is 28 miles each way.

In the morning it takes about 40 minutes to get to work. In the afternoon/evening it takes about hour and half to get home.

Luckily I can take the train a few times a week which takes an hour and half each way. Either way my commute sucks

32 miles one way. I hit 26.5 miles last night, all fwy pretty much. I'm running 265/70/17 so it isn't that accurate but that really seems way, way off. IMG_7053.jpg

My GF has a good job with Rodale (Emmaus, PA), and I grew up near where I work. It's nicer out here and too busy there. Couldn't afford the house I have there either. Bunch of reasons really.

I'm also overpaid, so finding a job closer to home hasn't made much sense either. The pay sucks out here.

Something will have to give, eventually.

That's a bit of a haul, but at least it'll be easy to stop at the Blackberry Cafe on the way home each day. Welcome to the Upper Left.
