More pics of the new Dick Cepeks. Honestly guys, look up reviews on these tires. I got them for $171 a pop when they were on sale. When I looked, there was only 1 guy with anything bad to say about these tires and from his youtube video, the signs of wear looked like he had a suspension problem. Anyways, my review after driving 7 miles in them:

I got up to 45 miles per hour (Maryland local streets).
Noise - I was listening to AM talk radio at volume 10 and did not notice the sound.
Power - Could not tell a loss in power.
Steering - No difference.
Smoothness - I felt slight vibrations due to knobby knobby tire treads, not like the slick goodyears.
Satisfaction - I am super happy right now.
Offroad - I am going offroading with @Mobtown Offroad this Saturday to test it out!
Rub - No rubs to report.
MPG - No noticeable difference.

Keep in mind, my shitty review is based on 7 miles of driving slowly.

Also, pretty relevant important info, look at pictures for fitment of the larger spare tire now. My spare is actually a Cooper STMAXX 255/85/16. I did not have to hammer or bend any brackets, just slowly raised the tire and shifted it back away from the front brackets. There looks to be almost 2-3 inches of clearance from tire to rear differential.

 

I just bought some KM2s in 255/85/16 from discount tire direct for $220/each (I bought 5) and I got $160 back in rebates. Seemed pretty reasonable to me

I'm glad more people are getting on this kick. Awesome tire size in my opinion, if you don't have to be insta/stance famous.

 

When I took my original spare down it had two decent indentations on the sidewall (two parallel lines). Didn't look great so I've been worried about damaging my new tire even if it would fit under there.

 

I'm almost certainly throwing my spare into the bed regardless this afternoon. The ability to stand behind my truck and see straight to the diff....mmm sexy

 

When I get a rear high clearance steel bumper, I guess I'll have to get a swing out or just keep the tire in the bed.

keeping it in the bed of a short bed takes up alot of room. Ask @90yota

 

It does. You can however secure it in a number of different ways to accommodate additional cargo. It will also fit back up underneath if you do a little tweaking. I have also been looking at the receiver mounted spare carriers as well. Lots of options out there.

 

Rub the UCA or rub the cab mount?

 

What are the options for 17s with skinnies? If my wheel has a 0 offset, will that throw things off?

 

It gets in the way.. my temporary fix till rtt takes that space

 

You can go 255/80r17 which is the equivalent. That's what I plan on doing. What width are your wheels?

 

Definitely not uca, maybe cab mount? Good thing is if they are just spacers and not wheels, you could just take them off if they rub in the front. Or a cmc would solve the issue too.
