    Bad news: I have to go do some army training in fort Polk Louisiana for a month starting mid July.

    My family is definitely conscious of the stereotypes and tries not to perpetuate them. That being said, they are Filipino AF and do all that stuff! My mom worked for the Philippine consulate and the Dept. of Tourism (same building as the consulate) for about 30 years. My dad also worked for the consulate for about 15 years. Strong ties to the Philippines in my family, but we're not that stereotypical. Not that there's anything wrong with it.
