Yea pretty strange eh? I guess I just imagined after the first swap out someone would've stuck with one or the other....now I just assume they were never changed.

Pulled the front mudflaps off to cut some clearance holes in them to avoid some tire rub. Still probably need a few minor adjustments to the alignment. Didn't quite expect that with just a 265/75r16 and JBA UCA's.

The truck I referenced that went with all denso this past week, 07 prerunner, had 203,XXX miles and the plugs were factory original lol. Customer just bought it for his kid, previous owner didn't do shit to it. And I also fixed his belt noise, the tensioner pulley apparently rusted and broke away. To replace these, you remove alternator, unbolt compressor and swing it away then unbolt the bracket assembly. The compressor bolts pass through the tensioner bracket to the block

One side of the engine runs hotter than the other. Hence the different spark plug brands. This I said what I was told from another Tacoma owner. I'm replacing mine this week. Had to replace just 1 a few days ago because It went out on me. Didn't have time to do the rest of them.

Why would one side of the engine run hotter than the other? What does that mean exactly? The combustion temperatures would all be relatively close (within just a few deg) I would think. The block is made of a single material so it would be distributing heat at a nominal rate. I guess the fuel could be atomized differently causing a different reaction but that seems widely unlikely and would lead to other complications. I don't know if I buy that.

I guess I'm wrong and so is the feller who told me that. Just looked on another page and they said they do it for cost and the motor needs a little less resistance... I just googled why tacomas have different spark plugs and read around there. ignore my incorrect statement
