I'd like to add a rule if I may.
#19 3/4- Head liner must be drooping on your head. Driver side is a must passenger optional

 

Disagree, some of us have brand new mall crawlers that don't have droopy headliners. So we can't just make a all inclusive rule like that, otherwise people will be tearing headliners out left and right!

 

Word this sounds like veteran bullshit. GTFO SCAB

Danny and I went out to meet someone from Craigslist for some rare McDonalds Monopoly pieces. We got lost because Danny can only navigate by the stars apparently.



Danny looking for ancient scripture written on the rocks hoping to find our way back.



I decided it was time for me to take charge of this operation.



Until i saw a spider and got a little frantic and ran away.



Danny went rogue and ventured off on his own. very scary, always stick to pairs! n00b!





A few hours passed and i hadnt heard from Danny so i needed to go on a rescue mission. Im coming for you buddy! I WILL FIND YOU!









I searched high and low for him but couldnt find him, nor the craigslist seller. I decided to park and hope Danny returned.

Anyone wanna go play this weekend? El Dorado National Forest somewhere? Might go see if Mormon Immigrant is clear yet, or somewhere else not sure yet.

 

Trip report.

Lake Tahoe or bust!

Heard the rubicon ends there; so I washed my truck. Don't want all those bad ass veterans judging my dirty truck.


A little extra attention to the tires/wheels.

Stopped in Jackson for some kick ass sandwiches but no photos cause f' Jackson.

I did stop for a quick "water" break


Made it to my camp site and the host has the audacity to tell me my truck has to be parked in the dirt. I was like "pssh I got the OR model for this sh't.


Wife told me that was a terrible photo cause our wilderness experience has a freakin corp yard in the background.

I was like ok how about this one? Airstream and a golden doodle in the background... (she said she'd trade our two kids straight up for that combo)

Ok, I think you need to move it over to the Veteran's thread. You've obviously gone past your quota of one off road trip per year.

 

Hah I know that camp ground! My swim team goes to a meet at the pool right there every year. I always thought it was funny a campground next to a corp yard

Next time you're there go to the playground gate right off Rufus Allen. Look for this tree


See that split? I was standing right there 3 years ago when it was struck by lightning. Hair still stands up when I see it

 

Camp ground is pretty rough but I have great memories camping here for that same swim meet 20ys ago... we are already planning on signing my sons up for the meet next year, even if they are the only ones from their team.

Crazy about the tree. I'll look for it.
