    We have 2 cosmetic blem recessed grilles and one ECO for 15% off if anyone is looking to save a few bucks. They all have spots like this on the front side

    It's really only noticeable in the right light but enough to discount them.

    Got my recessed grill yesterday and it took everything I had not to tear that box open as it sat sealed up in my garage until tonight when I got home from work. After opening it, I went from elated to super bummed.

    1. Like many have expressed, both the grill quality and packaging is no joke. It's top notch all the way around. You couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

    2. I guess I'm an idiot or got confused with the different versions that have been produced since the beginning but I was under the impression that the back plate was removable - something that could be easily swapped out. I had already purchased paint and made arrangements to have the back plate painted locally. I was surprised when I removed the center bar/back plate screws to find that the two pieces are not separable due to the threaded rivet nuts not allowing them to be slid apart. Pretty sure these are put on pneumatically. Anyway to remove rivet nuts besides drilling them out? I really hate the idea of drilling on a new grill and then having to put new rivet nuts back in....bah!

    They do come out it's just a very tight fit with the new thicker aluminum center bar. We're sourcing a shorter rivnut to make it easier but it will come out of there we put the baking plates in after the rivnuts are installed.

    Well, if you got it in there with the rivnuts already on then I'll give it another try today to see if I can squeeze it out. I don't want to scratch the plate on the rivnuts so I may just go with the all black if it looks like the damage will be too much.
