Yeah, I'm going to have play with that CB drop and see if that is the cause. Like I said, I only have a small shudder between 5-8 mph then it goes away and I have not felt any other vibrations at speed.

Update time....took the CB drop out and I have the exact same shudder when I start rolling and as far as I can tell, no other vibrations at city to highway speeds. Should I put the CB drop back in or leave it out?

The only way to fix vibes is measure the working angle of the ujoints. Anything else is just guessing and hopefully getting lucky.

Oh yes I know...I'm going find something to measure angles and then check all that stuff when I have time in the next couple of weeks.

Any 3rd gens on here with the OME install kit? I am looking at the 2" 887/ light duty dakars for my 2016 DCOR.

Leer 100xr on the back making constant weight of about 180-200.

Would love to see pics and pick your brain on options, pros and cons etc..

Believe it or not I tried that on my Deaver J59's because i was under there Fluid Filming the frame anyway. I figured that hosing down the leaves would be a good idea since they started rusting immediately after I put them on. Those J59's squeaked like hell for a month after I did that then stopped. Sounds really weird but it's a true story. How Fluid Film could make a leaf spring creak and squeak like that is beyond me but it did. I'm going to douse them in Fluid Film again before this next winter to see if I get a repeat performance.

Another guy used fluid film on his dakars and he said it made the squeak way worse.

It did mine and I really can't explain how a lubricant like Fluid Film would cause that. It's beyond me.

Hey 3rd gen DCLB here. I have an OME kit with 888 coils and nitrochargers upfront and an AAL in the back. I also have the drivers side trim packer and installed the diff drop as well. Even with 888 coils, my lift brought me even to 23" center hub to fender all around. Attached is a pic of my before and after.

If I could do this OME kit again, this is what I would do:

OME nitrocharger (firm, not soft ride)
1/4" top plate spacers for additional lift (to offset sag)
    Drivers side trim packer
    888 coils
    Dakar light duty packs
LR UCA's, diff drop, carrier bearing drop and ECGS bushing all for insurance (just do it all at once to avoid doing it again and again)

I took a budget approach and skimped on the little things and am now ending up buying it a la carte. the AAL was fine in the beginning but I've since added a mid cab rack and RTT along with camping gear. Now the back is sagging and it doesn't look and feel good anymore. Good luck with your journey and remember, "but once, cry once!"

Thanks for that informative response. That was super helpful and I really appreciate.

One question- why would you go with the firmer tuned shocks?

How do the softer ones ride in comparison to stock?

Why firmer shocks? Preference, I guess. I loved the stock "floaty" feel of the stock OR suspension, so I initially wanted to maintain that feel. There's absolutely nothing wrong or bad with the soft-ride. It's just "playful" and now that I'm hauling more stuff, I think firmer would be better on-road and with MPG....but that's just my thoughts. I would love to hear if anyone with the firm ride would prefer the soft-ride version....

Hey all, I know it's probably been covered in this thread, but with different builds come different recommendations. I have a 14 dcsb with a leer cap. Right now I'm running 2.5" spacer front and 1.5" aal rear. Looking to upgrade to a 3" lift with more quality components and I have my eyes on the ome kit on toytec's site. I have plate bumpers and sliders on order so I'm planning for 886 springs with ome 90000 shocks front, and a 3-leaf progressive aal pack with 60091 ome shocks. I'll include the diff drop and assembly for new mounts. Plus I already have the light racing UCAs. Am I missing anything? Sound like a solid kit to achieve 3" of lift and better ride quality?

With the 886s, you're going to need some kind of weight up front to make the ride more bearable.

Definitely. The 886s are designed to handled heavy weight up front so you'll be good to go.

Excellent. I'll hold off on doing the lift until the bumpers are in
