Welcome to the madness of TacomaWorld. There is a lot of good information on this site, but there is also a lot of BSing going on. Take all the negative stuff with a grain of salt as it comes from a small percentage of very vocal people.

Oh and put a lock on your wallet...this place almost forces you to spend money.

Looking for a '17 DCSB OR MT. Considering inferno to match what goes on the hitch rack.
Talking to dealers in SLC area who are widening their search. Thought to post up here on the slight chance anyone hears of one anywhere. Not jazzed about waiting 8-10 weeks again.
You'll see prior posts of my exact same silver one that I'm now replacing due to a recent nocturnal bovine missile strike.

I waited 10 weeks and the dealer never got an allocation for a '17 DCSB OR MT Inferno with tow and no P&T. That is a rare bird. I finally gave up when I found one with the P&T that the dealer was willing to make me a good deal on.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.
Checked online and called around for a '17 DCSB OR MT of any color, nothing to be found in the surrounding states without a sunroof (height challenged).
Put an order in today for a new one in... yeah you guessed it Inferno!
6-8 weeks unless something shows up in the mean time.
So excited, like a kid in a candy store.

Getting rid of all the chrome and making everything black. Installed black bed decals, tinted the side markers on the mirrors. Also got new emblems, painted them and moved them. Debating color matching the Toyota emblem. Want to paint the headlights too

Just ordered new bumper covers. I was thinking they were gonna be ready to be painted but they must of ordered ones for the SR. They have the texture like the fender flares so I decided to put them on before I painted them to see how they looked. I kinda like how it broke everything up and went along with the flares. So I decided to not paint them. If I change my mind I can always do so down the road.

Ok. It looks good with the inferno , especially if it matches the over-fenders. I was thinking about doing the same. I have an all black Tacoma, and really don't like the chrome rear bumper end caps. I'd have to get these, but matte black wouldn't look good on mine, I'd have to get them painted to match my body color, since my over-fenders are body color black.
The matte black looks sharp on yours though.

Thanks. It might not look terrible on yours, just not as good since you don't have the off road fenders. Of course black is probably one of the colors where the chrome doesn't look that much out of place as well either. I'm not a chrome fan but it just looks super goofy on a orange off-road. I wanted the tech package and the orange and black interior but they traded the truck I wanted and told me this truck was identical. Which it wasn't. I didn't have time to wait and this was cheaper so I said screw waiting and decided to take it.

I'm not really a new guy, was on here for a few years when I had a 2008 Regular cab 4x4. I sold it, feeling I needed more inside room, but also wanting something bigger, and got a 2011 Tundra. I really did need the bigger truck for a while, but now am wanting to get back into a Tacoma, so have reserved a 2017 TRDOR 4x4 DCLB and will pick it up tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm pretty excited to be back and will be checking in. And I'll switch out the avatar pic when I figure out how to modify my profile.
