The campsite marked with the table on the left next to the Taco with the orange ground tent was mine. The Foxwing on the Jeep next to us got torn off in the wind and threw his Skottle in the air on Friday afternoon before I got there, apparently.

Bravo, sir! I only quote from the best movies.

I think the 1,100 lbs for the 6BT was just long block weight, though?

Regardless, I think the real lesson concerning weight in this discussion is distribution. And the only logical answer would be to put a second 6BT in the back as well. Because moar powaaaaah.

Bahahaha! I was going to ask how everything was... but I like how concise this event summary is.

Van epps had about 90000 jerps on the trail so we bailed and went to cooper lake and up French cabin creek. Was ok.

If anyone was curious, apparently 15psi is too low for an e-rated 255 on an 8.5" wheel.

Having a friend get me a quote on a set of 285/70R17 Ridge Grapplers tomorrow. Also going to try and sweet talk Vin into tell me the color code of the wheel. In the past I have seen he has said there is no color code to match it, but if that's the case, how are they being made the same, over and over?

Going to take it into Discount first thing in the morning. I texted the manager this evening and he said they'd get it cleaned up, make sure it's not bent, and get it rebalanced. The wheel has one good scratch on the lip, and it looks like the tire rubbed off most of the paint or whatever around the outside edge of the lip.

I am currently trying to fix what I hope is just the ever popular KDSS lean... My driver's rear is 4" higher than the passenger. Front is 2" higher.

    Not having much luck.

Sounds like a burper. Stiff sidewalls will do that on a narrow wheel.

Im up in the air on getting my f5's color match desert sand mica powder coated.

What kind of terrain? Just pop a bead or take some damage?

I think 8.5 is at the upper-end for wheel width on a 255. Narrower would probably help keep lateral pressure on the bead. I've had my 255's on 7.5" width rims down around 10 PSI with no issues thus far, but all it takes is a well-placed root or rock...

At the time it was just a steep, muddy hill. Not rocks, roots, etc. Fairly certain just popped the bead. No visible damage.

I took my 285s on 7.5" wide wheels to single digits many times without issue. I didn't even consider losing a bead at 15psi with a 255 on 8.5" wheel. So many people running the same setup without issue.

It was a sideways slide into a smallish rut. I think we were both just aired down a little too far for the conditions.

That does sound odd. Glad there's no damage at this point.

Sounds like those 15psi's just had enough:

    Your words hurt.

What would you do in the situation? Air down to 20psi next time and never get any traction?

Joe, you're a bully. Alex needs a safe zone now.
Alex, I recommend camomile tea, and a nice strong winch.

Got passed by 2 built runners and a jeep in convoy coming home. They were from BC. Anyone see them at the expo?
