I know I did. Me and @uhplifted started around the same time.

Life is so much more delicious now.

First brisket in a while, and first time on the WSM. 114 degrees outside...I almost didn't need charcoal. @bvbull200 that rub is some good stuff.

That is a fine looking brisket! Glad you enjoyed the rub! The feedback on the Rub-A-Dub has been awesome so far. The best part is getting tagged in all these pictures of badass looking BBQ.

It's hot here, too, but not THAT hot. 114*? Damn.

LOL could tell some stories about mushrooms in Florida at the quad in Nuke school. And Don Juan and A Yaqui Way of Knowledge and Peyote buttons in Baja. Hunter S. Thompson lead the way however IMO.

7 year stature of limitations is well over by now. Finally finished. OMFG worth it.

Soak overnight in paper bag to allow moisture distribution. Have heard it helps in similar circumstances.

Finally got to put something on the smoker on Sunday. First thing I did was take it all down and clean it all up. Hadn't had a good cleaning in a while so really needed it. After that I started it up and burned off any remaining gunk I didn't get off. Took it back to 225 and then tossed on some Flank steak. Smoked em for about 2 hours then brought the temp up and seared both of them. One on the left is with @bvbull200 awesome rub, one on the right is just flank steak (had some picky little ones over). Both came out great but the rubbed one was by and large the favorite of all of ours. Did some corn also wanted to put some of the rub on the corn but wasn't sure what the others would think. Next time it WILL happen.

Looks like a Smokey Joe converted to smoker. @Woundedyak has also made one before. Good for camping or tailgating.

It's a Weber Jr grill, a tamale steamer pot with holes drilled in it. Works excellent.
