Truck Camping Photo Thread

Last weekend in the Lincoln National forest in southeastern NM. I have that problem too of the CVT awning rods not fitting. I used a couple of my small kayak tie down ratchet straps to tie it to the OEM roof rack eyelets. It was really hot so I wanted that front door open pretty bad.

 

Running a basic bed tent for now. Works well for quick trips.

I loop a cloth bungee cord around my passenger side mirror, then another cloth bungee from the shade grommet to the two hooks from the looped bungee. Works great, easy to set up and take down, doesn't take up the kind of room an S bend rod.

 

I am ready to go for my 4th of July Camping trip.

Sweet ride, man! I almost pulled the trigger on one of these, but for some unknown reason, didn't. Now I hear Alu-cab is bringing the Khaya to the USA later this year and so I think I will wait for that and see and compare.

Absolutely! We just did a weekend away, dispersed camping in the NF. Best two nice of pure peace! Not another soul around (except the Mr. of course!)

 

Got out to West Clear Creek AZ this weekend for the wife's birthday. She'd rather do this than just about anything. (Me too!) I've got a keeper for sure.

Bigfoot likes tents off the ground because he don't have to bend over to look in them.

 

As long as he's bringing the beer, I don't mind at all...

 

A drunk and disorderly bigfoot should be great fun.
