    Morning, humans!
    Took the boat out both days this weekend. Not really fast (she tops out around 20mph with 2 people, around 15mph with 4), but it's solid and stable, responds well to the controls, and we were able to putz around pretty much all day on one 6-gallon tank. :notsure:
    I checked my prop and it's only an 11 pitch, so I might upgrade to a 13 or 14 and trade some hole shot for a higher planing speed.

    Wow, I am surprised- what's the motor again? My little boat with a 25 horse does 22mph with 2 people and fishing gear onboard but obviously it's a 550lb alum hull.

    I was on mine all weekend, we landed 35 keeper size smallmouth and countless jakes, it was really fun fishing. The remote campsites are awesome at Umbagog, very nice. Some photos of the weekend...

    Yeah...
    It's a 45 horse Mercury, but the boat is probably around 1200-1400 dry weight. It's from back when they used really thick fiberglass (before they figured out that they could make it thinner and it would still be strong). And I might be a little off on my speed estimates, because the speedometer doesn't work and I'm just guessing, lol.
