Hey guys I got a general question here. I currently have an RTT with a bed rack, but Im looking to get a bed rack that is bolted in from the bed bolts and is not on the bed rails. I wasn't sure if anyone has something like this or a source that they might recommend for fabbing up one? The main reason for this is my truck is going to get glass bedsides and eventually rear LT so I want the RTT weight off the bedsides completely. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks man, all the west coast LT guys have this for theirs, but they all seem custom one-off builds for them.

The 05-15 BAMF bedrack I believe attaches this way. You could easily have someone bend you a 4 tubes (one for each corner) that notch onto to your current bed rack and attach the the floor of the bed with welded on plates in order to be able to attach it to the bed bolts. This way you can keep your bedrack but also get the weight off of fiberglass bedsides

Our steel side rail caps will fit on fiberglass beds, so they would help you out.

Do you got a link for that?

The only one I have found for a low profile bed rack for the Tacoma seemed to be this.

Looks like a solid construction for sure, I just don't want any weight on the bedsides at all as the tops of them would be underneath your brackets. From what I understand with fast driving, stress cracks are almost guaranteed with any load on the top.

Got her installed. About 1.5" to contact with the garage door. 2.5" more clearance underneath. Now I can actually do a blind spot check with more than 1.5" of visual.

Has anybody ever made the best of both worlds between roll bars and a bed rack? I would love a bed rack but I don't want to lose the clearance to load up dirt bikes in the bed. Like maybe a chaser rack setup?

I absolutely love that rack, but I wish there was a way to have it shorter. I don't want my RTT sticking that far up. :(
