Do you know of any how to threads for painting the pinch weld?

Super easy! All you need is a can of paint, some sand paper and some masking material.

 

its so easy, was one of my first mods

Just tape and mask what you dont want painted and get spraying!

I just painted the actual vertical part of the pinch weld

Stopped at the 90 intersection of the cab

 

Right behind you on this! Already have the key and have to figure out where to get it cut so I'm ready once China comes through.

Just used the leftover paint i had from my raidiator

 

When I had my truck wrapped, they did not do the mirrors or the bottom center part of the front bumper, they said the textured surface would not bond correctly and it would come off right away.

 

This. Sell them and use the loot to buy sliders. When you go wheeling you'll tear the steps up.

 

Yep, plus @Shmellmopwho makes detachable steps that work with 1.75" sliders.

Managed to tear off on of the rear mudflaps on the trail. It was that or roll the truck so I was ok with it.

 

Do they didn't make full steps/sliders that will lower when you open your doors!

Steps are just that-steps. They bolt to the cab and their sole purpose is to make it easier to get in the truck. Sliders bolt/weld to the frame and are designed to take the impact of the full weight of the truck falling on them. Steps would just crumple and cause a lot of damage.

What I'm getting at is they're not quite the same thing.

 

Amp Research makes steps that lower when you open your doors. I have a set on my 2013 DCSB. http://www.amp-research.com/products/truckaccessories/powerstep/

 

They make steps that do lower when you open your door, but those aren't strong enough to use as sliders.
