Absolutely you can use it. I just finished off the last two slices from the flank. Just as good today as it was yesterday. I will get more pics as I get more smoked up. Sadly I am going to be away from the smoker for a while from this weekend on. Going to NC to the cabin and sadly can't take the smoker with me. I will be taking the rub though and using it on some steaks and stuff we do while there. Was going to jump back on this buy but since I won't be here to get it I may have to wait for you to do the next one.

 

You know I'm really wanting to try this on a fatty now. Was thinking about maybe trying to fit one in before I leave. I have been wanting to do a pulled pork one, essentially pork sausage, stuffed with pulled pork, rubbed down, bacon wrapped and then rubbed again. Served with a nice slaw. I call it the 3 Little Pigs.

 

I'm smoking 2 butts tomorrow with this rub. Will post up results when I can.

I love this idea. I use it on my go-to fatty. Breakfast sausage, our rub, feta & mozzarella, spinach leaves, bacon blanket.

Stuffed with pulled pork sounds fabulous.

 

I was geared up to try it on some chicken breast's and i open the bag and all the chicken got freezer burned...so maybe later today I'll go get a whole chicken and try that tonight. Hopefully they will have some corn..

Waiting for it to stop raining so I can try the rub out . Been the rainiest spring/summer I ever remember. Rain all week then maybe a nice day friday. Might try it on some wings and a couple racks of ribs. The rub smells amazing, can't wait to try it out.

Which Traeger do you have? I've got the Traeger Pro Series 34. Would like the new one but also don't need the wife killing me lol.

 

Traeger Pro 22. I just bought the front shelf for it, and want to get the inside top grate so I can do two layers when I need/want.

My wife and I have been talking about getting a food saver. Do you use it a lot, and what type of stuff do you use it for? Just trying to see if use justifies the cost.
