It is humid as shit out. Just got back from a 4 mile run - I looked like I jumped in a pool fully clothed at the end of it.

Yup! Done it probably 5-6 times. Definitely one of my favorites.

Franconia ridge is awesome because you get above treeline so damn quick. Like 25 minutes from the car and you are up there. Been a long time but i used to go there a lot. Used to sleep up there all the time, no fire, no tent, just a bivy sack.

Monday - I'm not functioning right. Tried to put a 8-32 helicoil in a 10-32 helicoil tapped hole... totally couldn't figure out what was wrong.

Where do you start from? It takes me around an hour and a half to get to Little Haystack from the start of Falling Waters and I think I'm quicker than most!

The only one I know if that's that quick to treeline is Jefferson from Jefferson Notch Rd. (Caps Ridge)

Oh boy, it seems like a lifetime ago, I may be wrong but I know it's quick above treeline leaving the Lafayette Campground Parking Area and heading straight up towards Mt. Layfayette and the ridge. I don't remember the names of the trails but that was the one we liked because although it was steep, it got you above treeline really fast.

Edit: A little research shows it's called the Old Bridle Path. Above treeline in about 3/4 of a mile.

Ah, okay. Never done it in that direction. I always go up Falling Waters and down Old Bridle. Falling Waters you end up above treeline just barely before the top of Little Haystack.

I can do the whole loop in about 5 hours--5-1/2 counting a break for lunch.

Just picked up a generator for the camper. After doing a lot of research, settled on a Champion 2000 watt inventor generator. It runs at something like 54 decibels. Should be good for extended stays at campgrounds without hookups if the solar panel can't keep up.
