Exactly. And I hate malt in my IPAs. It's the worst. Save the malt for stouts or porters.

Have you tried kneedeep simtra triple IPA? its like a lupalin sucker punch with no malt backbone. Actually most of their beers could fit that description.

That just means you still get that first taste feeling. From there we're all just chasing the dragon.

I would search out hoptimum from sierra nevada. A very approachable IPA.

I know lagunitas waldo is called a "special ale" but I'd consider it a triple too.

Waldo's crushes hoptimum but you probably won't find it now and if you did I'm not sure how it would hold up

    Fermenting away.

I'm having a little trouble with my temp control though. I blame it on the triple digit temps we're having here in NorCal.

I usually like to ferment s05 low (peachy) but I'm holding 68-70f.

Yeah, and depending on the ABV, Green Flash Palate Wrecker might be a triple, or its a really bitter I2PA. its definitely low malt as well.

bottled my 2.5 gallon batch IPA 2 days ago and pitched 2 gallons of costco 100% apple juice and 12oz grocery store frozen (defrosted) apple juice concentrate directly into the fermenter over the old yeast cake. OG was 14.5 brix. Just took a reading today and it's already down to 8.5 brix. That bad boy is bubbling like crazy. Once it stops bubbling I'm going to dry hop with 1oz cascade hops. Hopefully this will be a good hoppy and strong cider.

It's not a home brew, but it's is only 25 cents tonight. I feel like I'm back in college.
