I find Harbor Freight to be a good alternative for home tools, and some pros like them too. This could be a good set to keep on vehicle, and some have mention the 10mm is a must have, and I'd have it in several versions, i.e. shallow socket, deep, box, open, line wrench and whatever else I forgot lol!

I'd might still be missing a lot, its a start though :[

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

one side is angled to match the wheel well to maximize on space.
Inside on the left lower is coffee percolator, solo stove titan (twig stove) and solo stove pot. Lid has the paper towel holder and a magnetic strip to hold anything while cooking. Stove sits on the bottom and can be brought out to be used on the side door portion as a table and sit on the tailgate (so heat doesn't damage plastic on tailgate and wood is covered with reflectix, and that piece was made with fire rated plywood.
Top shelf has another pot set (two pots, one pan all packs into itself)
    two stainless steel mixing bowls
big black thing on the top is my folding table
Also have a little mini grill that can either be used on a fire, or on top of the stove to make toast. Little bags have a spatula, tongs, spoonx2, forkx2, knifex2 and a wooden spoon, another bag (that one of my compression sacks came in) has the hose for the propane tank adaptor for the stove, another one of the same mesh bags has cups and bowls in it. Still needs to be tidied up a little.

If I'm just going on a backpacking trip or canoe trip I just bring the solo stove and then the pots and pan set.
Still needs to be tidied up a little and add a bit more organization to it. But for the most part works pretty good so far on the trips I've gone on. There's also two cutting boards inside it so when I turn it so I can stand at the tailgate and cook I also use the cutting boards to level out the tailgate and use that as more of a work surface along with the table.

In one of the pics you can see the primus fire pit I have as well that comes with a grill top so that works as the BBQ when camping as well. Depends what the girlfriend and I are making for that day.
Paint got fucked since I painted it when it was too cold 20170619_150800.jpg 20170619_150904.jpg 20170619_150713.jpg 20170619_150736.jpg

Joe, you are an organized fool man.... Nice set up. Sounds like you can "bug out" in 20 minutes and be VERY well equipped.....

You can beat the traffic heading north and grab a burger @ Weber's, right..?? Well thought out kit.
Here's my basic tool kit to get me from Motel to Motel...hehe

that's nice, i like that you made it so it can be removed when not in use and not just sit in the bed of the truck. You secure that to the bed w/ the anchor points in the bed?

I haven't yet and had no issues with it moving as its pretty heavy and with the bed mat it prevents it from moving. But I have thought about putting in some tie downs. Haven't been on any really demanding trails yet so hasn't got banged around a lot. But figure if I start going on much tougher ones I'll need some more securing to it.
From what I have planned is ratchet strap from one cleat on the rail to the back tie down point right by the tailgate. Should be strong enough.
Either way there really isn't much room for it to move around when I have the bed fully loaded with all my gear.
