I'm just happy to see other guys competing and beating the likes of Harvick, Johnson, Hamlin, Kenneth and Busch on a weekly basis.

Notice I called 20 to go and the caution came with 21 to go? Predictable... This is also the result they want too...

Is this a "I'm pissed because Kyle Busch didn't win again" deal or more? I think the competition has been incredible this year. Multiple first time winners, the usual guys aren't dominating (#48 does have 3 wins though), and we have new playoff rules which are going to shuffle the cards differently.

Screenshot_2017-06-18-19-05-15.jpg more.... The only passing is on restarts, so they keep bunching up the field... What happened to reeling in the leader on a long green flag run and making a pass on the track and not on pit road? TBH, I went to help my gmother and have no idea how KB got the lead, he was in 3rd when I went to help, come back he's in the lead and caution, no idea what was happening. But the green flag runs this year have been less than stellar. You can say new winners all you want, but I want to see green flag passes up front, not mid pack until restarts.... Don't care who is doing it just not the 22.

    You're not alone:

    http://www.espn.com/jayski/cup/2017/story/_/id/19678462/nascar-explains-michigan-debris-caution

My opinion: If it's not a tire, a car panel, a rotor, bumper, or a danger to fans, leave it on the track. They used to leave the broken cars on track and drive around them back in the day. Granted, they were going a lot slower back then.

If debris cautions really bothered the drivers they would be more outspoken about it. Larson had the fastest car, and defended in multiple late restarts. Like what was said, the only passing was on restarts which made the end more interesting. Really no difference in Restrictor plate races and Michigan. Although I prefer Michigan as of late, hard to pass at plate races anymore. Just my opinion, I thought it was an overall shitty race like it always tends to be with so much aero dependency.

On that note I wish we could get some rivalries back in nascar, is it just me or has this year been a lot of drivers racing too nice?

I'm hearing Paul Menard and Menard's sponsorship moving over to the #21 next season while Blaney pilots the third Penske car (#12) with Motorcraft, SKF, Snap-on. A lot of other crazy stuff floating around:

Kenseth to the #88 or #5, pending sponsorship. Nationwide sticking with 88. 2 year deal with optional third until Byron is ready.
    Jones to the #20
Harvick breaking contract with SHR and going to #88 or #5 with Busch and Jimmy Johns
Kahne to the #10 or #4
    #10 closing shop
Ty Dillon to the #27, renumbered to #33
    Bowman to the #5
RPM closing shop, no more #43
    Wallace to the #43

Something big is going on and everything else will fall into place once the big bomb drops. Rumor is its Harvick wants out of Ford and back to Chevy. Once he gets out of SHR, he's going to Hendrick with sponsors following.

Edit: This is all speculation. I haven't spoken to my Toyota source, and he's been pretty mum since telling me about the #77 plan a while back.

smoke gets my respect for telling it like it is... Don't slip that too the masses though, they'll only talk about what if KB said it lol...

where does Almirola go? He's not a bad driver, but he is in a midpack car at best.

nascar doesn't want anyone to be offended..let's all play nice. I'm not really a kyle fan but at least he tends more to say what he thinks.

im about to pull a @MadDaddy here, so here it is. 61% polled beleives nascar manipulates the outcomes with the debris cautions http://thesportsdaily.com/unexpecte...r-not-happy-with-debris-cautions-at-michigan/
also if you go to the comments and focus on the intelligent ones (many idiots on here) they agree with me, and many have gone so far to point out that late model races are of better quality. https://racingnews.co/2017/06/19/to...out-nascar-debris-cautions-nascar-explains-2/
As is stated in both articles, and even team penske posted a picture of a straw hat, and no caution... but with tv cameras, officials, spotters, drivers, and others, they cannott identify random debris with 20 to go? draw your own conclusions, but id go as far to say they want that late race restart weekly to decide the race... (At least larson led a shit ton of laps leading up to his win). I understand the fastest car doesn't always win, but this year they hardly ever win... enter the late race phantom cautions... how many races this year had a long green run to the finish? (look at how KB, Truex and Larson lead most laps all the time, and should have better results than they do this year, wins or not). Will nascar clean up and establish consistency, or continue to piss off even their own drivers for some casuals to tune in? time will tell. (need another shitty call, look at the 34 car in the wall at charlotte at the end, and no caution, handing it to AD)
    Thoughts on this?

what makes me laugh is how dw and jeff try to make it sound like a fuel mileage race is just so exciting. Or when they see 3 wide they gasp like they have never been in a race car before. Or when a car barely taps another car they say "things are really heating up"..
