Finally did spacers this am. Pretty straight forward. Clears the frame now by about 1/4" and only hitting plastic (not flexed). Will trim that up.

    Before:

    IMG_20170601_194206.jpg

    After: Spidertrax 1.25" spacers

    IMG_20170610_085232.jpg

And I had to glue those wheel weights back on in the bottom corner...

This 255/85 size is growing on more and more

886 springs, OME shocks, 2" add-a-leaf kit, ARB front bumper. Yeasu 857D with a Little Tarheel antenna 80-6 meters and a Diamond antenna 440-70cm. White camper shell with a roof rack. Black powder coated rims.
After destroying one of my Rugged Fails last weekend on a trail I went and bought Cooper S/T Maxx tires. I stayed with 265/75r16s. Impressed so far.

235/85 R16 mounted yesterday, No Lift

They may pull right or maybe it is just psychological after reading others' experiences....

Additional Fort Ord pictures since that is where I waited while tires were mounted and my father spent a chilly time here during basic training.

Remind me, are you running a lift kit or are those tires fitting on stock suspension? They look great.

Those are nearly 33" tires. That's great. You gonna put a little lift on the truck or is she just a mall crawler?

I am planning on a full suspension. 2.5-3 inch Toytec Boss Font, OME Dakar rear springs and probably bump stops all around. Definitely not going to be a mallcrawler

You will probably find that the skinnier 255's will make you happy. The Boss lift is very popular. Again, once the lift is on, shoot out some photos.

Has anyone switched between 255 and 285's? What were your thoughts?

I went from 285s to 255s last year. The 255s seem to do better in winter driving conditions on the street and in snow that's less than 18" deep. I've only wheeled the 255s a couple times and they do everything my 285s could do here in Colorado. It all depends on what you're using them for I guess.

Where'd you get your 255's from in CO? I can't find anyone who carries them.

Also, what were your impressions on mileage change? That's the main thing I'm concerned about (but fine with cutting).

You could get the 255's and a 17" wheel with a -6 or -10 offset and probably be pretty happy.
