I have a 2016 TRD Sport and After another visit to the dealership for the same issues, clunking in front suspension,(3rd visit noise not found) wet moisture spray pattern from metal line to rubber (pointed out to service advisor, was told coolant system pressure tested and passed) and not repaired, then serviced the rear end,,,, went in for another fuel pump(not sure on this one) complained about the random tweety bird sound you can hear over the radio from front end somewhere, randomly, and 20k service, man I can keep going, not sure if its common new truck stuff or just mine being a piece of junk, but already not feeling the love with this one. This is my 5th Toyota truck through the years and kind of a let down to me. TRD Sport

Clunking in front end might be front strut mount.

If you're not happy with your truck and got a dud, fuck it. The piece of mind, being in a second gen and happy, could really be worth it.

I'm a little biased since the recall has my truck on straight repo at the dealer while I drive a fucking Nissan Frontier rental.

":anonymous:" doesn't save you from us eating you alive :D We could go on and on about the differences but to call a 2nd gen a "POS" is beyond me and "superior" should really be "equal", each vehicle has substantial trade offs compared to one another. I mean there probably honestly about 1-2 mpg off from each other so there really isn't a gain there for either of them. What confuses me the most is I've never seen a manufacturer actually downgrade a number from the previous generation, specifically 3rd gens actually losing torque compared to the 1GR :der:

But on a serious note. I haven't any issues with mine except the headliner. After that I refinanced out from Toyota financing and will never buy another Toyota :)

Wouldn't you act the same if I called the 3rd gen a POS... Yes it has its problems just like 2nd gens have theirs but, yes, IMO, the 3rd gens body is "superior" in a way, looks awesome and the 3.5 and new 6 spd manual work almost flawlessly together.
