If you want the 8 track tape capability I would go for it.

    No. I wouldn't care. I'd probably laugh.

I will never own - financed or paid off. Toyota can kiss my ____. :D

Sounds like you're either in the same boat as OP or wrong forum. If you don't like the 3rd gen, then why haven't you sold it yet? Did you own a 2nd gen previously and had issues with Toyota?

fuck the numbers. I would love to hook bumpers with a third gen. I'm pretty sure I could drag it across the street, might be wrong but I want to see.

Mine is too modified to just get rid of. Plus I like the truck. The headliner is falling down on one side. They said I removed it and didn't reinstall it correctly. I never touched the headliner. So now everyday I get in my truck I get to see a 1/2" or so gap between the headliner and door frame.

Do you like it or not because you keep going back and forth? Tacoma's are never "too modified" to sell, if you were really angry with Toyota you would either try to sell it local for your foreseen price with mods or sell off mods and sell a stock vehicle back to the dealer or somewhere else. There is always a way.

I think your fucking crazy but I love my gen 2, it's awesome but I bet I'd love the ever loving shit biscuits out of a 3rd gen... sounds like you can't be made happy, maybe you should try public transportation for a while.

Considering the dude is finalizing his LT rear end as we speak...I would keep it considering the mods he has done at this point. With that being said though man after delving into this realm of mods, Im surprised you don't just handle issues with the taco at this point on your own like the headliner? I cant imagine anything is as challenging as routing a bedcage, getting the pinion angle right for the rear and all that man.

How can my 16 Taco be so great? If it weren't, I sure wouldn't revert to an older model. I'm not saying it won't give me problems, but to date, (1 year), it's been great. Drive train warranty 5 years, so I'm not worried one bit. :)

If you read my post I said I never touched the headliner. So no. I didn't remove it.

I don't have the 10-15k needed to make it back to stock. Nor the desire. I can still hate Toyota and keep the truck. Refinancing was the best I could do. They don't get their interest payment now. :notsure:

I don't want to replace it because the headliner is almost 1000 bucks. I'm going to try gluing the side down and hope that works.

But anyway...has anyone traded their 3rd gen for a 2nd? I think that was the original question.

I didn't because I like the look of the third gen. Updated interior of the third gen. Better tech of the third gen.

    There's a reason a 3d gen costs more than a 2nd gen.

Have you obsessively checked your frame for rust today?
