Gosh and that's just for the testing. I'm sure treatment will be even higher.

I got mine cut for 35s as well although Im running 285s. Granted I have a little more articulation, but honestly I dig the boxed CMC look for 35s. Also I figure if you are going to cut, why not remove all the bullshit for multiple set ups? Structurally, a boxed CMC for 35s is likely more robust than stock too if done right.

Hey does anyone local want their badges plasti-dipped? I want to make a "How to Properly Derp Your Tacoma" video, but mine are already dipped/derped. You supply the truck and I'll supply the derp and do it for you.

Agreed that is a good offer if I didn't already do mine as well. What color would you do them anyway? Black?

Thought about getting my badges done, how does it handle car washes?

I figured I would share my most recent mod, a fellow tw member makes this template to help shift your rear view mirror for second gens up about 3 to 4 inches which sets it just under the rooflining. You will likely have to trim just a little bit to get the liner to sit flush again, but this gives great visibility to the right side when driving without having to look around the mirror. The guy will mail the part right away as he doesn't do PayPal and then after receiving the part he includes a return envelope premade to him with postage and you just submit your check and mail it back. I'm pretty happy with how much it cleans up the clutter of the mirror. It's one of those things that you won't notice until you do this, but to me it's a significant upgrade for a decent price.

If done correctly they handle carwashes like a breeze. Mine were done almost three years ago and still look great.

I have to admit with this hot steamy weather, it could be a good quick time to get it done. I did mine towards the later of the year where it was on the verge of getting cold. Def made this process much slower than it should of been.

That works better, should be mostly done with the work. My weekends will free up a bit more. Still need to find time to get the SPod and ditch lights done. Hoping for a mild day in July.

Hey on a similar note, if anyone local wants their badges removed I'll do that for you as well if you let me make a vid on the process. :D

I never seem to have it when removing badges, but fishing line is nice if you are planning to do a vid on it.

Mine are scheduled to arrive tomorrow to the local TW storage garage.

I thought about this too, but I am afraid that with the age of my truck it'll leave an outline. I think derping them would be better for me.
