Right. I think there are actually quite a few TSBs. There's a list going around somewhere of all third gen TSBs.

    4 runner is only 5000.
    Taco is 6800.

    So much misinformation here.

But not every TSB is to be applied to every truck, they're like addendum to the service manual. If certain symptom is found apply TSB "X" to correct. If symptom not evident TSB does not apply.

Buy something other than a Tacoma, what you've read on TW has obviously ruined your decision instead of going out and getting any real world information such as taking a lot of test drives and comparing to other models in the segment.

And families grow and the truck will only get smaller. My wife always sits in the back cause our son is almost 6'-3" and he can't sit in the back unless the passenger seat is all the way forward. Get yourself a good certified used car and save your money or look for a used 2016, there are over a dozen on the lot near me...but I love my 16 SR5 DCSB 4x4...

I mean if we're talking about TSB's the Chevy Colorado has over 131+ I think we're doing ok then.

That would suck because the 2018 Camry will have the 3.5 V6 with 301hp. Does it make sense make multiple versions of the 3.5 V6? I don't know. I don't work automotive industry.

I feel like a one batch run that could make engines for multiple cars would be cheaper because of any re-tooling, personnel changes or equipment changes that would be associated with making multiple different versions of the same V6. Basically, there would be one allocable cost base for the V6 rather that multiple cost bases for each different version of the V6. This is assuming that the V6 is made at one plant.

I know Japanese automakers use JIT inventory management, so I doubt they would have the 278HP V6 just sitting around.

The GM midsize twins can claim 300+ HP with the same mileage and the Ecoboost Ranger is right around the corner. Toyota needs to do something to hold on to its market leadership role. It make less and less sense to buy a Tacoma. Its not like Toyotas are reliable tanks anymore.

Personally, I think we will see a this generation's "Syclone" soon. Except, this time it won't be a limited production run. It will be a 30K trim option on either the ranger or GM twins.

Keep dreaming. The 2GR is in a multitude of cars already that make more than the Tacoma's 278...different applications get different tunes. They don't have "278hp V6s and 301hp V6s" either. They make the same engine and put a different tune on them for different cars. They've been doing this for awhile. Look at the Lexus IS 300 vs IS 350. Both cars come with the 2GR-FSE yet the 300 has 259hp and the 350 has the 310hp. Only difference between the 2GR-FSE and the 2GR-FKS is the atkinson cycle. That's just one example of many where Toyota/Lexus has done this.

Love my 17' DCSB OR Jbl, hitting the ect button mostly solves the shifting thing. I like the pro's too, but no sunroof on the pro and that black leather was a little too dark for me.

I've got the Barcelona Red '17 Pro.. I enjoy it. Are there a few things that could use improvement? Of course so I change what I can. Based on what you said you are looking for, I don't see why you wouldn't get one. The only thing I would say to look into before purchase is to check what items you really want/need in your truck and compare it with what it would cost to install them. You may be able to get the options you want done aftermarket and still spend less than what you shell out for the pro. I love the shit out of my Pro and can't wait for the bulk of the mods I am looking to accomplish get done. Good luck with your search!

Hi, I'm about to purchase a 2017 Tacoma TRD SPORT Inferno, and I'm looking to replace the TRD SPORT stickers with black matte Punisher decals, sorry I'm a fan, any suggestions, I'm also looking for TRD PRO grill inferno letter inlays and backdoor gate letter inserts , I'm thinking that all deals or inlays should be black matte so they stand out on the Taco Inferno, brothers I'm a rookie sorry if the questions sound stupid.....

If you can find one....... Realistically, I am not sure at this point how easy it truly is to locate one that is #1 not marked up thousands over MSRP, or #2 already sold even though some online services have them listed. Call me crazy, but I have been actively looking for a 17 Cement 4R Pro, and getting out of my Taco Pro. At this point on the 4R's end everyone that I have inquired about has been pre-sold, or at least the one I actually found that was in stock was marked up $4000. I will never pay above MSRP for any vehicle... Don't give a shit what it is....... I guess I didn't fully realize how in demand the Pro's really are.
