@fatfurious2 was wanting to cut my exhaust before this weekend so it dumps over the axle. You cool with that?

 

That reminds me I wanna redo mine gunmetal like my tires. The black is fading and I like how my tires turned out with the metalizer stuff.

 

Yeah same here man I did mine back in 2014. first mod when I got it blacked out everything and I haven't touched them since. I did like 5-6 coats though.

 

I did my rear badges and the Tacoma on the side, I did an OK job at best. I want my grill and toyota emblem up front in black but it seems like a lotta f'in work.

 

I bet you could pop those out of your grill assembly and then actually paint them.

 

Nah it's not too bad at all. Grill pops right off.

 

How about the rear bumper??? I hate chrome. I don't know why an "off road" edition would have so much shiny...

 

That can come off too. It took me about 45 min to get mine off just because of the amount of bolts.

 

Rear bumper just involves some blue tape and a few newspapers to isolate it. I actually hit my entire high-clearance off-road bumper with spray-on bedliner.

 

I dipped mine while it was on the vehicle.

It was such a pain in the ass to get all the plastic bits off.

 

I feel so inspired... Now I'm just going to try my best to not break the stupid plastic tabs and stuff... I will fail in that venture.

 

I started out by trying to unclip them from the bottom, and got pretty frustrated. I then just ripped it off, and everything stayed intact. Ymmv

 

Well @fatfurious2 hope you wanted another chopped exhaust. Did it while I had the spare dropped.
