Well if I had gotten that there was no option to work around it.

I've been busy with this new project at work but I'll do my best to still try and find campsites so if I can't make it you guys can have a game plan

Also... @goblue82, I know you've been a bit distracted lately but would love to have you join the trip if you can make it.

@YotaGurlIAm and @eccracer104, did you say you are going to Sedona over the 4th of July weekend? If the Sierra's trip falls through (if Steve and Chan can't make it) I may be tempted to join you in AZ. But won't it be blazing hot there in July? Does it cool off enough at night to be enjoyable?

yeah well I had planned on running Rim Road, just outside of my moms town. But looks like there is a fire going on there. So yeah we'll probably try to hit sedona or somewhere closer to Payson. It'll be pretty hot though- 80-90 in the mountains and 120 driving through phoenix.

We'd only be camping one night though(saturday night), i'm helping my uncle with some stuff saturday morning and I work monday (on my laptop at my moms)

I'm out. Got the time off approved, was planning solo or with son, wife now wants to do something together that doesn't involving wheeling. :annoyed:

Well, seeing as the only confirmed we had was Steve, @sdsurfer and myself (now tentative) should we push this back a few months and try and get more attendance?

@bigbarlo... now that Brian may not be able to make it and Steve is out for sure, what do you think about staying closer to home and going up to Idyllwild Friday and Saturday night (6/30 & 7/01). I got a new Shimano rod & reel I want to try out. We could go up early on Friday to grab the spot by the crick!

Yes. I think I will plan something closer to home for the weekend and we can do the Sierras later in the summer/early fall. What do you say?

I'm on board with that. Plus the snow should be (hopefully) more melted and won't have to worry about flooded areas/closures that are currently going on

We were planning to go to the Mammoth area June 30-July 4. Looks like most of the characters have bailed now so it's just me and Chan. I haven't heard back from @bigbarlo yet but since we are the only two remaining, I proposed that we move the venue to Idyllwild and just go from 6/30 - 7/2 (Friday through Sunday). It would be nice to have a small group if we can snag the yellow post site by the crick. We are going to reschedule the Mammoth trip for later in the summer. If you are up for a trip to Idyllwild for 6/30 - 7/2 please join us (assuming Chan is up for that weekend).

I would imagine the bugs are going to be horrendous at that creek spot but I'm down. As for the Sierras I'm down any Friday thru Sunday. Name it and I'm there. I actually enjoy smaller groups for the Sierras more. I'm there more for the fishing than anything else
