Icon MT suspension, Pelfreybuilt front bumper, Relentless skids, Avid sliders, Avid custom rack. Pelfreybilt HC Rear bumper.

First step was to put in the 12' x 24' x 5" concrete slab. May 2015, I had a friend of a friend prep the ground (dig out some sod, level it out, put in forms) did this and poured the slab early one morning, was $1800 with steel mesh in it as I recall.

Then I ordered the complete complete steel Frontier Garage from Versa-Tube. You can get anything you want, I got a 7' high roll-up door, side people door, and one 36" square window. There are endless options including color. Cost was $3600 all totaled. Versa-Tube is out of Tennessee, but they have a distribution center in Avondale, AZ so to save shipping I rented a flatbed trailer from U-Haul and towed it with the Tacoma which worked prefect. My brother-in-law and I unloaded the trailer in a couple hours June 2015 in the heat and I got the trailer back with just a half day rental!

I built this about 95% by myself, having help just to tip up the main steel frame "hoops". I installed Pro-Dex sheet insulation on roof and all walls before the steel skin went on and that stuff is amazing, at about 1/8" thick with vapor barrier on each side it is nearly as good as 3" pink insulation, takes up minimal space and reflects light. I took my time, all of 4 months to get it assembled because I was working 50 hours a week at that time and it was Summer.

After the roof was on I installed an electrical sub panel, 120 volt and 240 volt receptacles, and 10 ceiling mounted LED lights. Because I planned to mount various stuff to the walls and it has 48" center steel "studs" I mounted steel hat channel horizontally 16" OC then 5/8" plywood T-111 siding for the inside walls painted white to make it bright inside. I built some cabinets partially INTO the walls to preserve space inside the building.

I had the floor epoxy coated in a tan color for real cheap by the folks that did our pool decking with a leftover color so the floor cleans up easy.

If I could have made it wider I would have , but in my yard this was about the limit with city codes. It was actually fun, and now it is a great place to keep the Tacoma out of the sun and house my camping gear and truck stuff. The ceiling peak mounted trolley is anothe story but wuth an electric hoist I can take my RTT on-off by myself and store it on a rack well overhead and out of the way.

I went to school with his wife. We used to give her shit when she said she was dating him and would say you are just one of his roadies. Then a few years later I saw her in a commercial with him saying it was his wife  I think her name is Traci

Edit, maybe I am crazy. Reading now his wife is named Andrea and grew up in Canada. Maybe it was another hockey player idk lol

Awesome! Thanks for the write up on the next page. Once my wife and I decide to buy, I may have to look into something like this.

Of all weeks, my 8 year old GE refrigerator decided to die...

Didn't really realize it until this morning. Had to throw out about 10 pounds of meat from the freezer that thawed. I guess the temp alarm failed too. Cleaned it out right before work and the Otter Pops in there were all liquid.
Managed to grab some stuff that was still cold and drop it off at the ex-mother-in-law's. Thank god I still have a good relationship with the ex and her family.

Looks like I'll be shopping for a fridge today. Yay.

Obviously you need the one with the cameras in it so you can log in on your phone to see what's in your fridge.

If you don't mind scratch and dented check out select appliance in Mesa. I got my fridge from there for $1000 and it was brand new but had a few scratches on it. I asked them to swap out one of the door handles with another fridge they had and they did. The fridge when I got it was selling at home depot for $2300. I also got my washer and dryer from there. Love that place.

randomly popping in here but is anyone doing a 4th of july wheeling trip? If so, I wanted to ask if anyone would be willing to let myself and a friend tag ride along. I just moved to Tucson last week so I know zero people out here (he is visiting from texas). I figured some wheeling and camping would be a good way to meet some of the locals and make some friends. I have my rusted to shit stock 01 Expedition XLT 4WD with LSD and highway tires. Havent gotten my first couple paychecks to throw down on a new rig. Hence why I was thinking of riding along if anyone was willing :notsure:

I love going to the Sear's Outlet for scratch and dent appliances. Same warranty for a 1/3 of the cost of showroom.

Yeah, then I could have a time lapse of the Otter Pops in the freezer going from solid to liquid over the last few days...
That happened 5 years ago when my youngest was 1 and it was 115˚ over 4th of July weekend. Had to stay with the MIL and when we came back we found several candles had melted...
6 grand later we got a whole new system (original was from '93 when the house was built)
Already looking at the website! I will be paying cash for this because I need this shit figured out like tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip. Sure was a fun way to start the day today to realize I suddenly needed to upgrade my fridge.

They are a good group of people there. And if you are looking at two fridges and one has a ice tray and the one you are looking at doesn't, or whatever parts you can swap, just ask to swap parts. I had them swap a door on my dryer. The two handles on my fridge and throw in an ice tray and another shelf. Pretty helpful and you get a 1 year warranty.

Like someone else said, be happy it's not your AC. My house AC went out last July during 115-120 temps. It was 9 full days without AC in my house. House temp was 92 almost all day/night.

I'm not scared of scratch & dent stuff... I have two kids and am kind of clumsy. That pretty much describes everything I own. Including the truck!
