I bought a '11 DCSB TRDOR 2x4 brand new and now has 160k on it... no issues... never in shop... plenty of pickup... good MPG... wife is driving it now.
I bought a '16 DCLB TRDOR 4x4 brand new in January that now has 20K... ABSOLUTELY utterly disappointed in it's performance.
Extremely poor pickup and acceleration around town... can't even spin tires on wet pavement.
    Crappy MPG...

The '11 will run circles performance wise (acceleration and mpg) around the '16.

The '16 will get up and move... but only when my foot smashes the pedal to the floor pan and watch the gas needle drop.

All that being said, the '16 looks tuff as @#$% .... get piles of compliments.

Then it's your fault for taking it standing up and sitting down. I'm calling BS on some of things you've stated. Your headliner is covered under warranty.

People think the 2nd gen is faster but its not. And in towing 2nd lags far behind.
    Misinformation galore.

It's spelled "what" and what was funny? I asked you a question? And you're being truthful with me (stating your opinion too) about how you feel about 3rd gens. It's really straightforward.

Numbers are nice to see but with so much disparity between C&D and MT, I can't trust numbers. Whats really weird though is when TFLT did a side by side drag race of a 2nd gen vs 3rd gen and 1st gen vs 3rd gen. In both tests the 3rd gen "leaped" off the line first but was within inches of losing to the 1st gen and at least a car length behind the 2nd gen. I do believe if the test was longer, the 3rd gen would slowly creep past the 2nd gen in the top end, but at this point I can't trust numbers.

Maybe the 1st gen vs 3rd gen with AC vs DC was "hollywood" but a car length doesn't lie. It isn't even like they were bias towards the 2nd gen, all they could talk about was how good the 3rd gen was "off the line". Yes great throttle response, but let me hit you with some real hollywood, "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning." - Dom (Vin Diesel)

Worst decision I ever made was to buy a new vehicle... I will now forever buy used. Get a late model 2nd gen with low miles for far less $$ and enjoy proven reliability for years and years. Spend the savings on getting out of town in it... no experience here with 3rd gen

Actually I edited my own post, I made the mistake not him. I meant 6 spd manual but forgot to put manual in my original post.
