Are you going to set this up somewhat permanently on the rack, or stow it when not camping?

Dynatrac ProRock 60 Rear Axle, that is important enough.
Have not decided yet, going to get it in and see where I could mount it up. Would like it to possibly go under the rack on a slide of some sort, but would have to sort all that out as well.

Right now dealing with AC issues with the local Dealership.

Finally had time to get a few of the projects for the truck done.

    - EBC Green Stuff Brake Pads
    - EBC Premium Rotors
    - Ran into an issue where the dust boot on three of the pistons decided to come off, had two piston pop out on me as well... had to put them back in and bleed the brakes in the end, but other than that, new brakes are nice though. Just need to keep an eye on them and make sure there is no leaking.
    - Got the passenger side fender liner installed and redid the driver side with different hardware
    - Also mounted the rock lights on the driver and passenger side
    - While the wheels were off I went ahead and cleaned the back side of the wheels up and removed the damn balancing weight double sided tape that was left on there.

I still need to paint the brake calipers and rear brake drums and finish out wiring up the rock lights, going to try and do the wiring tonight real quick, also still need to swap out the bushings on the radiator mount as well and my front end project list will be pretty much complete.

Also noticed that I bent the front skid at some point since it is now touching the bottom of the front diff, so need to take it off and bend it back and such as well.

Nice. I like the fender liners, I need to do this soon. The hardware they come with are crap or what? What did you use instead?

They don't come with hardware so have to source it on your own at lowes. But pretty simple hardware.

Just some 1/4x20x1 stainless steel hex bolt, some 1/4x20 nylon lock nuts, and some 1/4x1 flat washers that I painted black. Still need to figure out the bottom half of it though as the stock clips work, but are not the best, just have to find some new ones at lowes.

Also, tested out the rock light.... not really liking the placement right now as there is a lot of shadow from the tire... may have to play around with it and see if there is a better spot.

So what did you end up doing for your electrical system? i am starting to look into a fuse box and such to run the compressor, lockers, lights, etc but there is so much information out there.

Right now, I am looking at a Switch Pro from the groupbuy that is going on to clean up the electrical stuff for aux lighting and stuff that needs a switch. Will keep the Blue Sea fuse block for stuff that does not need to be on a switch. Just have to figure out if I want to spend the money on the switch pro right now.

Mine are not from Rad Rubber, they are from the guy selling them on here, so no fasteners included.

Yea, they are bright as heck, but the shadow kinda defeats the purpose. Will be looking at a different spot to mount them tonight when I get home and see what I like the best. Think practicality is better than looks...

The switch pros are nice but out of my budget right now. You may have answered this, but what accessories are you going to run that don't require a switch? Everything I can think of would need a switch of some sort.

I've had these in my Amazon basket for months now. Figure I can mount 3-4 in each wheel well, try to force out any shadowing but getting light on the face side of the wheel is, like your finding, gonna be the most difficult.

Not bad, going to play around with it tonight maybe again and see, really no rush this week for getting it done, but as long as the front are done and wired up before next weekend then that works for me. I think practicality is more important than looks on these, so if they can provide good lighting for the trails and what my wheels could get caught on then that is better than them just lighting up my wheel well.

whats the Dims on that solar panel? I've been wanting to do a setup for a long time now, just cant seem to find a good panel, or decide where to put it. Ideally, I'd like to find one the same dims as my Plano case, and hard mount it on top of that. either that, or like you said, a slide out under my tent if its a larger panel.

Here is what it looks like on the truck, it is a lot bigger than I really thought it was, so not trying to figure out where to mount it. Thought about the hood... but would want another hood to do that too instead of messing up my hood.

Thought about mounting it under the rack on the shell except there is not enough space, so would have to add spacers or get different feet for the shell rack. Another reason I did not really want to mount it there, is that once I get a full size spare, I was going to put it on top of the shell rack on trips and it would cover up the solar panel, I could build a slider for it, but it would have to come out the back of the rack instead of the sides as I would add extra feet on the sides to help support the crossbars with the tire up there. Also running the wiring from there all the way to the battery is eh.

Other option is to remove the rotopax from the rack and move it to inside the camper shell and mount the panel there instead and try and run the wiring down the passenger side window. But that also eliminates me putting the other plano case up there that will hold spare parts and tools on trips. But I could just throw that inside the camper I suppose as it would not be permantally mounting that case as I also use it for my AR15.

Thanks man. it doesnt look TERRIBLE on the hood, I've thought about that as well, but would probably go a little smaller on the panel if I did go that route. I think on top of the Plano is best.. plus then I can angle it to get as much sun as possible.

The one I have on there now, I have 4 bolts through it that mount it to the Prinsu cross bars, pretty simple setup, just took some time to line it all up and everything.

Yea, if it was smaller it would look a lot better on the hood, or if the hood was completely flat as well that would help. Right now the winner is looking to be to install it on the Cab rack and move the rotopax to inside the camper shell mounted on the bed rails, then would just throw the extra plano case in the bed. Trying to make it to where everything is easy to get to and organized for trips. Just need to think about it all and see how I want to do this.

I did the same thing with mine. Seemed like the most secure way at the time. I tried a tie strap for a few trips because I didn't want to drill any holes but the ratchet froze in the snow and it was a PITA to get to my chains when I needed them.

Yep, I have not had any issues with it like that, was going to put the other case that I have on their with ratchet straps, but rethinking that now because of the solar panel. So who know.
