What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Has anyone else done the SABM mod? If so, have you received similar gains? Also, I see this works with a TRD CAI but would it work with other aftermarket CAI's like K&N or AirAid?

 

I live in Canada and have a 2017 V6 DCSB Off Road. I was in the States recently and reset my mileage and speedometer to miles, and miles/US gal. Normally I have it set for Kilometres, and Litres/100 km. I did notice the option for "Miles/US Gal" and "Miles/Imp. Gal". Since an Imperial Gallon is bigger (4.54L/Imp Gal) than a US Gallon (3.78L/US Gal), I am wondering if your settings are Imperial Gallons, not US Gallons? The would make your mileage appear better.

Not even sure if Tacomas sold in US even have the option of Imp. vs US Gallons.

We certainly don't use Imperial Gallons in Canada anymore.

Saw these smoked lens covers at the dealership today.

 

Well, this is kinda of a bummer. Was putting my new LED headlights and noticed my headlight had a wobble. And of course, I can't leave it alone. It was just a small wobble. But, I needed to know why. I found this. I have no idea why this is broken. No accidents. Unless somewhere I might have hit a bird or some big bug.... trying super glue and clamping it and fingers crossed.

 

These are the headlights I was installing. They look cool. I like them. Well, I haven't tried them at night yet

 

Beautiful truck! What percentage window did you go with?

 

I do not think we have the ability to use imperial gallons on our displays but that would not matter anyway with me since I hand calculated each MPG by using the trip odometer miles and dividing by the total gallons to fill it up. By the way, you live in a great country.

 

Let me know how these work out and post up a night pic if you could. I'm trying to figure out which ones I want to go with.

Those hi and low beams?

 

These are the low beams. I watched a YouTube video. Headlight Revolution. It was just on our new Tacoma's. I will do on the pictures this weekend. I don't think I'll be able to be around my truck at night until then.

 

You live in a beautiful country and almost everyone that we had contact with was very very nice. About the only exception was the customs agent at the border. He asked a lot of very personal questions and did not like some of my answers so he had me pulled over and 2 other agents inspected every inch of my truck and put all of our luggage through the x-ray machine. After a major proctology exam and not finding anything they finally let us go. I should have known something was up when he told me to turn my head and cough.

I noticed you spending a lot of time on the 3rd gen section lately. Does this mean that you are thinking of trading in your 2nd gen for a third gen?
