Where I live in Texas it's a fucking "dry county" I didn't know such bullshit even existed. I have to drive 25-30 mins to get liquor.

 

You're too young to buy alcohol anyway!

 

I'd have to look it up, but my wife was telling me that one of the big alcohol makers' main distillery is in a dry county. I wanna say Jack Daniels, but I could be wrong. Anyway, going on the tour sucked because you couldn't taste anything, only see how it was made (and I think they let you smell one barrel that was aging).

Oh, the irony.

First I've heard that. Pretty sure you can defend your home, family or property anyway you see fit in this state under the Castle Doctrine. It also states you can carry guns in your vehicle without license to carry because your car is and extension of your castle.

Speaking of Distillery's...I hate to sound like a Portland hipster ass, BUT there's a place called ye ol' Grog that only sells out of like Washington and Oregon http://www.yeolgrogdistillery.com/ they have some amazing spirits, they also started selling booze ice cream recently that technically could sit on the shelf next to Ben and Jerry's. I used to live in the town where they started.

Been getting my friends to send me some every now and then, It's that good. They have a 140 proof vodka and everything they make is unfiltered, but insanely smooth.

 

Very sad. But you can drink it you just can't buy it there. Lynchburg, TN
