I think, given what I see of his current site and what I guess is his know-how with all this, the Shopify Buy Button would be the quickest most bang for the buck way to get this done. I have quite a few full-blown Shopify sites and they (Shopify), as a service, are great to work with. I too used to set up stuff like this in the "old days" of the early 2000's, and these days there's no way I'd ever come near to going through all that again. Way too much work for all involved. These days, services like Shopify are dirt simple and extremely, almost unbelievably, easy to implement for any given situation. Very cost effective as well.

There was a day and time where I had a little spare time to work on that website. That was about a year ago, though. I built it all myself, as proof of concept more than anything, using a WYSIWYG website builder. I don't have a lot of space or a lot of features, currently, because it is the cheap hosting, cheap services, etc. That will have to change, for sure.

Shopify is one I'll look in to with greater scrutiny, then combine its cost along with the increased cost for a more robust page, and possibly hiring someone to do a very basic makeover of the site. I'm tech savvy right up to the point of building a website. I know enough to get going and I can use WYSIWYG website builders like I do PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc. to modify plain templates, but integrating/adding certain web services starts to exceed my grasp. Shopify seems simple enough, though.

I would eventually like to add a section that people can post to. I guess kind of like a forum, but much smaller. Maybe more of an interactive FAQ, if you will.

I wonder how many pounds of rub and cooked BBQ I'd have to provide for a web builder?

Sincerely, though, I appreciate the input and any suggestions for the site. When I get a little more free time, I really need to invest some time, energy, and funding in to it, so I don't take your suggestions lightly.

I will recommend Shopify for new sites or additions to your current site the way I recommend Stubbs for briquettes... doggedly :) Tried many many options over a long (in the case of web stuff anyway) period of time, decided on what I consider the best. As usual, it's all just IMO of course. I know what works for me and my clients.

and btw, there are a gajillion "apps" for Shopify that are dirt cheap per month and can get you anything you need or want, like that interactive FAQ.

Tri tip and asparagus with the rub. I over cooked the tri tip a bit though.

Definitely going to put the spicy rub on tri tip when t gets in. The spicy stands out a lot more in this than the pork I did over the weekend

I'm certainly prepared for any criticisms of our regular or spicy rub, but I'm really hoping the spicy delivers on what you all were looking for.

Edit: Tri-tip looks good from here, by the way ;).

If it works and is solid it's a much simpler way than what I was doing. Cart is nice if you have a large inventory and need all the parts that come with it but is not a simple setup.

As for the help on it I'd think if you asked nicely at least a couple people could probably lend a hand lol.

Agreed, I'd help him gratis just to learn more about what goes into opening a BBQ biz. Been thinking about doing that myself. @bvbull200 , just let me know what you need.
