I just installed these today. As mentioned, install is pretty easy.
FYI, you need a 19mm deep socket to loosen/remove the nuts on the u-bolts.
I did a quick test drive and it seemed to ride a little better. I'll know more when I tow a trailer tomorrow.

I'm concerned that the top surface of the polyurethane will get chewed up pretty quickly by rubbing on the metal brace above which is not flat.

Sumos vs Timbrens vs Wheelers superbumps vs airbags vs AAL vs Hellwig helpers vs Supersprings, the debate rages on. Which is a good thing.

So if these are extended bump stops, how does it give you that much static lift? It doesn't look like it rests on the frame when unloaded.

The frame does rest on them and they add 5/8" to the rear without load.

Interesting. Does it still add a mild lift even with a add a leaf installed already? Might be a good way to get a 1/2" more?

No. It only adds lift for stock height springs. If you have an AAL you will have a gap between the Sumo Springs and the frame. It will, however, still keep you from sagging when you add weight to the rear or if you tow.

    ^^^This^^^ have about a 1/2" - 1" gap between SumoSprings and frame with a progressive 3 leaf.

Not me. Mine still contacts with a three leaf. But I have a steel rear bumper and R TT on bed bars.

Myself will go with Timbren-Industries bump stops. Got Timbren on our Honda Pilot (rear only) and a front and rear set on our E350 Motorhome.
