Nice looking rigs in here. Have some work to do to mine before the next outing.

Ouch, I could buy a nice used truck for the price. Guess I'll stick to my new canvas tent, replaces a 20 year old Sierra Designs backpacking tent that got down graded to car camping. Never high enough up the food chain to be able to get one of those.

You can build one on their site and you'll get a quote in about a week or so by email. I do know they vary dealer to dealer.

Since this is a camping thread, I assume you like to camp. I highly recommend getting the windoors! You'll be glad you did.

i've been doing some serious research on this lately as I have been in the market.

expect caps to start anywhere from 1400-1700 for higher end models then the additional cost of accessories, roof racks, wind doors, etc, those can range from $50 rack tracks (no roof rack, just the tracks) carpet headliners $80, or vented windoors $150 each side, etc..

I just purchased my Leer 100 XR today, from removable sliding windoor, side vented wind doors, headliner -- $2,301 out the door.

also another TW shared this google doc with me. prices seem to vary by dealer, market, territory.

i called 5 Leer dealers and there wasnt much consistency in pricing but most of them were within 350 of each other.

Just a heads up-retail for a solid bed rack + RTT is about the same as a well equipped cap.

And a rack/RTT can go up way more (e.g., $3500)

i agree. neither come cheap. but both have their purposes. the topper fulfilled my needs more so than a RTT, as much as I want an RTT, locking my fishing and biking gear up is what was most important to me.
