Those lights are rad! I'm going to have to look into those.

Definitely fits the look of the truck well

Damn wish I knew you were going to be doing this. Definitely way easier to buy a leather punch and punch the hole in the weather stripping.

Haha been wanting to see my truck on there for ages. Makes since you spotted me there cause I work at south coast

Everything is better in retrospect, haha I just followed his instructions. Wish I had that knowledge ahead of time cause it took ages :annoyed:

On another note how do you know how people are mounting the morimoto to the cutout on the prinsu? Both the heretic and morimoto mounting brackets don't mount at the right angle.

i was thinking of just useing the same hardware that's used to mount the wind deflector to the t-slots.

mount it to the front side of the first rail along with the brackets that the xtorch comes with, i think it can work if u just modify it a little. IMG_7006.jpg

You'll have to show me what your talking about cause I can't quite piece it together in my head. I'm curious how you'll do it cause you can adjust the bracket cause of the cable location on the xtorch

ok so i went to mount it up to show u but ur right there's a problem, and not just with how we want to mount it but the design in general for anyone.

there design was initially intended to mount to something/a bar under it.
not a bar behind it, but either way it doesn't work.

for example: the side that has the wire, anyway u mount the bracket it's not adjustable at all

as in how u use 2 bolts per side (1 bolt for the main rotating center, and the second bolt that has the adjustable pivot slot where it would give u the ability to adjust) the led up and down isn't adjustable at all, the wire gets in the way...
pic example of how it's can't adjust one way(upwards) due to wire being in the way:IMG_7015.jpg

i'm calling them tm about this.

only way i was able to rig it and make it work the way i need is to only use the slotted adjustable section and crank it super tight so it doesn't move.

pic below is at the proper angle to project the light, as u can see it's not the way the bracket was intended to work

You couldn't have posted this at a better time. My buddy and I were working on my truck at lunch (wiring the harness up and the switches) and we were trying to figure out how to get the thing mounted for a good 20 mins before we had to head back to work. We were going to try to rig my heretic mounts to my morimoto mount. But this is what we will do, gonna finish it up in the parking garage at 11 when we are done tonight. I will use this method. And yea their mounts are complete BS, poor engineering.

Thanks for linking the inserts, good stuff, looks clean!

I believe he told me he fabbed them up himself if I remember correctly
