A couple friends just got back from Moab/White Rim. Mostly Stock F150 Ford, Stock Tundra. No issues. Planning second trip next spring. I've already put in vacation request. If approved, going too.

Back when I still owned my last Jeep, we went to Rubicon for Jeepers Jambo. Would love to do that ride one more time in my life. That would be an SAS/mega-dollar Tacoma kind of trip. Most insane trail I've ever been on.

    Cubic dollar trip.

No it's because everyone does their trips right as soon as the kids get out of school so by the time July roles around it's just your hobbiest and climbing dudes

I'm in Monument Valley right now. It's hot, but easily tolerable. There's no humidity, so the wind and shade actually cool you. It's amazing. I'm sleeping in a teepee tonight.

We'll be there BEFORE most schools are out.

The pair the just went in Early May said they went most days there without seeing anyone else. Raved about the solitude.

    They go every spring.

Years ago, we did a yearly trip to Badlands National Park. The yearly trek to Moab started after I got re-married and became a home body.

I'm dying to go out there. Something like this that I can go solo on may be the best option. The wife wants to see the scenery but has no desire to go wheeling or camping and a 2 year old could care less.
