Getting a phone call from the US Census Bureau telling you that they are going to take legal action against you for not filling out the Census...

 

I occasionally get calls supposedly from the IRS telling me there is a lawsuit against me for not paying taxes. The caller invariably speaks with a Pakistani accent. Once I asked him for the Case Number and he hung up on me.

 

I get those calls from "Microsoft" sometimes. Usually I screw with them about not having a computer because I'm practically in Canada and that sort of technology hasn't made it up here yet. Sometimes I quiz them on what time it is there, what the weather's like, etc, and then I ask them why I should let them screw around on my computer when they can't even tell me what the correct time is or what the weather's doing there. One time I asked them that if they were actually Microsoft, why were they calling a Microsoft office? They always end up hanging up on me, too.

 

Nope this is the US Census and speaks very clear English and they keep sending me Packets to fill out but I refuse too send them back....

 

I got a "Microsoft" call once also. I told him he was full of shit (my exact words) and that I worked in IT. If my computer had a virus, I'd have already known about it and fixed it. He hung up too.

 

I get these all the time even had one tell me he was going to come and kill me I said bring it on I will be waiting proudly for you.....

 

I just saw one of these last week in mid Ohio. The guy had done some extra work to his, according to this pic, but he was claiming he did just about all of the work him self.

 

Lady told me I could get either a $100 fine for not filling it out and if I lie the fines could be $500 .....

 

We've got a bunch of those down here. I've seen one with ape hangers and a 300+ pounder riding it like a 25 MPH bad ass.

They haven't prosecuted anyone since 1970. I think you are ok.

Home Security Solutions calls me and the last time I actually answered it and go to speak to a Thomas that morphed into a George, American accent and I asked them for a call back number, that he didn't have and then I asked him for an address to which he said, got a pen, got something to write on and then did the S for Sally, and so on.... SUCKADICK...is their mailing address, so I am assuming Miami Beach.
Anyway, I told him that I was recording the call, as all work calls are recorded and that I would report this to the feds and he laughed and said, The Feds couldn't catch a cold, let alone him, and then hung up after telling me that he was going to share my number with every security company in America....
Anyway, I can't disagree with him on his Feds comment....
Fuck I hate telemarketers and these robocalls....

We got them often in late 2015. They always gave me the threat of arrest line. Told them to go for it every time to which they'd all hang up except for one guy who turned on the buddy charm and spent nearly eight minutes trying to convince me that I was a nice guy that didn't deserve to get locked up and on and on. Still kicking myself for not recording that one.

We got the Microsoft calls around the same time and into the first half of 2016 and if I had the time I'd always lead them on until they got to the "download teamviewer software" and I'd ask them if they made that for my Mac.

Now if you call and I don't see your name - someone from my contacts list - then I just let it go to voicemail.

I am in IT security because being poor sucks. These ransomware infections are a pain in the ass - we don't play. We reimage everything is we even suspect there's an infection.

I am sharing this with my entire team because Kwiatkowski is a bad-ass who won't have to buy a drink around us.
